Chris Rock is paying no mind to the plea of Will Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, about the reconciliation between the comedian and the actor, following the infamous Oscars slap.

A source told Entertainment Tonight on Sunday that the comedian is not wrapping his head around so much about Jada's statement.

"He's not concerned with the Smiths at the moment," the insider noted, adding that the comedian is focused on his tour and he is currently preparing for his comedy special.

The source then described Rock as "the most genuine person ever." The source also pointed out that nothing Chris Rock did was calculated or a phony.

Jada Pinkett Smith's Plea With Will Smith and Chris Rock

Jada Pinkett Smith recently made a public plea on Facebook's "Red Table Talk," emphasizing that she wants the comedian and the actor to fix the feud between them, according to 7 News.

"My deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out and reconcile," Pinkett Smith underscored.

The actress went on to say that the state of today's world needs Chris Rock and Will Smith, pointing out that people need one another "more than ever."

Jada went on and took the opportunity to use the talk show on educating the people on alopecia.

"Considering what I've been through with my health and what happened at the Oscars, thousands have reached out to me with their stories," Pinkett Smith stressed.

She added that she used the moment to share what it's like to have alopecia and inform people about what the condition is.

Jada also shared that Will and she are focusing on their "deep healing" which she will talk about some other time.

"The Smith family has been focusing on deep healing. Some of the discoveries around our healing will be shared when the time calls," Pinkett Smith emphasized.

Oscars Slap: Will Smith and Chris Rock Encounter on the Stage

It has been two months since the infamous Oscars slap incident that involved Chris Rock and Will Smith.

It can be recalled that the comedian was slapped by the actor while the Oscars ceremony was going on after Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith being bald.

Rock apparently did not know that Jada was suffering from alopecia.

A day after the incident, Smith took to Instagram to apologize to Rock claiming that he was wrong with what he did and that he was embarrassed.

Smith slapping Rock backfired on the actor, as the Academy banned him from attending the awards virtually or in person for at least 10 years.

Veteran Screen and Stage Actor Harry Lennix also urged Smith to return his Oscars, in an op-ed published in Variety.

Lennix underscored that the stain Smith causes to the Academy will not be easily removed, and the only hope for it to be cleaned is Smith returning the award.

However, the Academy stressed that it has no authority to claim back the award from Smith, arguing that convicted criminals Harvey Weinstein and director Roman Polanski still have their Oscars.
