Prince Harry 'Homesick,' 'Unhappy' Despite Meghan Markle's Effort to Create 'Perfect LA Life,' Royal Expert Says
Prince Harry was reportedly homesick and seemed unhappy despite the effort of Meghan Markle to create a "perfect LA life" for the two of them.
Daily Star reported that the comments came after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned to California following their brief stay in the U.K. for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations at the beginning of this month.
Royal expert Duncan Larcombe claimed that Harry's "self-imposed exile" may be getting him down. Larcombe told Closer that Harry seemed homesick to him, adding that the Duke of Sussex suddenly started playing polo again and drinking with his new friends, which were all the things he used to enjoy doing in the U.K.
The royal author then commented on Markle, saying that Harry's wife is cheering him on the sidelines and helping create "this perfect LA life" for him to justify what Harry has "given up in the U.K."
Larcombe noted that Harry is a "very sociable person," adding that the Duke of Sussex has had many friends growing up, including his estranged brother Prince William.
The royal commentator added that Prince Harry must "sometimes wonder if everything he has given up has been worth it."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to give a rare peek of their lives for the docuseries with cameras entering their Montecito home in California.
According to Express, Netflix has signed a $100 million deal with the Sussexes. Larcombe also commented about the upcoming Netflix docuseries.
The royal biographer said it was an "understatement" to say that the Palace was "twitchy" about this. Larcombe noted that if the show goes ahead, the Queen "will almost certainly strip them of their titles."
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted filming with Netflix during a trip to New York in September. But the details of the series remain under wraps.
There were reports that Netflix wanted to release the series at the end of the year, while others suggested that the Sussexes want it on screens in 2023.
Larcombe said if the sums of money involved in the Netflix deal are accurate, Netflix would want to show more than footage of Prince Harry "doing the washing up."
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Businesses
The Sussex couple's companies include Peca Publishing and Hampshire LLC, named after the county where they reportedly enjoyed a "babymoon" in 2019.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently faced another backlash and received a stark warning from a royal expert after it was reported that they have more than a dozen different businesses.
According to Geo TV, royal expert Daniela Elser said that because the Sussexes have so many different projects, they have no time for themselves.
"Harry and Meghan might now be the proud owners of... a coop full of the world's most famous chickens and companies galore but one thing that could be in very short supply? Free time," Elser noted.
There were reports that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been setting up firms in an American tax haven. State filings showed that a lawyer and business manager for the Sussexes have incorporated 11 companies and a trust for the pair since April 2020.
The couple reportedly set up the firms in the state of Delaware, which does not tax business transactions and does not impose inheritance tax, even though they live and do business in California.
Harry and Meghan previously came under fire for their multimillion-dollar Netflix deal amid reports suggesting that the platform could lose 750,000 subscribers in the U.K.
Spotify also reportedly took Sussexes' podcast into "its own hands." The audio streaming platform has hired producers to manage every step of the couple's pet project.
