Independence Day: Joe Biden Delivers July 4th Message as Cities Celebrate the Holiday
President Joe Biden sent his Independence Day message as different cities across the country celebrate the July 4th holiday for the first time in three years.
Biden took to Twitter on Monday to highlight that Independence Day is a "sacred day" in the United States.
The Fourth of July is a sacred day in our country – it's a time to celebrate the goodness of our nation, the only nation on Earth founded based on an idea: that all people are created equal.

Make no mistake, our best days still lie ahead.
"It's a time to celebrate the goodness of our nation, the only nation on Earth founded based on an idea: that all people are created equal," Biden underscored in his tweet.
The president then underscored that the best days of the Americans "still lie ahead."
Biden also delivered an Independence Day speech, marking the 246th anniversary of the U.S.' Independence as a nation.
Biden also highlighted equality during his speech, emphasizing that the U.S. is the only country based on ideas, rather than other aspects, including geography, religion, or ethnicity.
The president then said that the laws implemented in the U.S. are created to protect the vulnerable, check those in power, and guarantee the "pursuit of justice."

Independence Day: July 4th Celebration Across U.S.
Different cities across the U.S. engaged in their July 4th celebrations. According to PBS, colorful displays lit up the cities, such as New York, Seattle, Chicago, and Dallas.
The city of Baltimore resumed its Independence Day celebration after a two-year hiatus.
"I'm happy to see that downtown is getting back together, how it's supposed to be," Baltimore resident Kirsten Monroe said to a local news channel.
Meanwhile, in Miami's Bayfront Park, crowds built throughout the day in anticipation of the July 4th nighttime show, according to CBS News.
Some Independence Day celebrators in Florida like Matthew Cruz noted that it was their first time celebrating the holiday ever since the COVID pandemic began.
"We're here to enjoy the fireworks in Miami and you know, be a part of the city," Cruz added.
The fireworks show at Bayfront Park will start at 9 p.m. Miami police suggest that those planning at the park to watch the show use public transportation. All paid parking in the downtown area will also be open.
Independence Day would also be celebrated by some 52 newly naturalized citizens, as they would swear oaths of citizenship in Mount Vernon. Treasury Secretary Janett Yellen highlighted their importance in America's workforce.
"Immigrants strengthen our workforce, and, in the process, help drive the resiliency and vitality of our economy," Yellen underscored.
Independence Day: Some Cities Postponed Fireworks Display
Not all cities in the U.S. will be able to participate in the July 4th celebration during Independence Day, due to a variety of reasons.
Three Wisconsin cities postponed their fireworks display but promised to give the show at a different date.
Milwaukee and Wauwatosa Cities pushed back their fireworks display, citing weather concerns. Milwaukee said that it will have the show on Tuesday but is still pending due to the weather.
However, Wauwatosa has not yet announced a specific date when it will push through with the fireworks display.
The city of Waukesha also announced the postponement of its fireworks display for Independence Day. A date for the city's celebration is yet to be announced.
