Tesla CEO Elon Musk has reportedly fathered twins with one of his artificial intelligence company's top executives, Shivon Zilis.

New court documents reported by The Guardian showed that Musk and Zilis filed a petition to change their twin babies' names to "have their father's last name and contain their mother's last name as part of their middle name."

The petition was filed in Austin, Texas, where the babies were born. It was approved by the judge.

It was reported that Zilis gave birth in November 2021, weeks before Musk and Grimes had their second child via surrogate.

Musk, who is known to be the world's wealthiest man, has now nine known children. It includes five children with his first wife, Justine Musk, and two with Grimes, known by her real name Claire Boucher.

Zilis was born in Canada and studied economics and philosophy at Yale before working at IBM and later at Bloomberg Beta, which is a venture capital fund. She was considered a rising star in the world of artificial intelligence and has been placed on Forbers' 30 Under 30 and LinkedIn's 35 Under 35.

Zilis works as director of operations and special projects at Neuralink, which is Musk's neurotechnology firm. The company seeks to create human-machine interfaces. The new mother of twins started working at the company in May 2017.

Reuters noted that Zilis has recently been floated as one of the people Musk could assign to run Twitter after his $44 billion deal acquisition.

Meanwhile, she also serves as a board member at artificial intelligence research firm OpenAI, which was co-founded by Musk.

Musk and Zilis have yet to comment on the matter of them welcoming twins.

Elon Musk Family

Recently, his 18-year-old child Vivian Jenna Wilson was granted a name and gender change in California. "Musk" has been removed from her legal name and allowed her to select a first name that reflects her gender identity, according to a Rolling Stone report.

Wilson told the court that she wanted the name change due to "the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form."

Grimes revealed in March that she had welcomed a second baby with Musk. She was named Exa Dark Sideræl, calling her "Y." Her older brother was also nicknamed "X."

Grimes said in her Vanity Fair interview when asked if she and Musk were still together that "there's no real word for it," adding that she would probably call him her boyfriend. However, the singer also said that they are very fluid and live in separate houses.

Grimes said that they planned on having more kids as well, noting that they have always wanted at least three or four.

In a 2020 New York Times interview, Musk revealed his approach to fatherhood. He said that he does not play a prominent role in his kids' lives when they are young, as reported by Page Six. He elaborated that there will be more of a role for him when his children get older.
