Joe Biden COVID Update: President Remains in White House Complex as His 'Loose Cough' Returns
President Joe Biden is in his fourth day of COVID rebound battle.
President Joe Biden on Tuesday remained isolated in the White House complex as his "loose cough" returned amid his rebound battle with the respiratory disease. It is Biden's fourth day battling COVID after he tested positive again on Saturday.
According to New York Post, the return of Biden's loose cough was confirmed by his physician, Dr. Kevin O'Connor. The outlet added that Biden's voice was noticeably deeper and gravelly when he spoke virtually at a computer chip-focused event on Tuesday afternoon.
The president's physician is not allowed to take reporters' questions regarding the chief executive's health. However, O'Connor announced the current condition of President Joe Biden in a memo issued on Tuesday.

The memo issued by O'Connor also notified the health developments Biden achieved on Tuesday. According to O'Connor, Biden has no fever as of Tuesday and is in "good spirits" despite testing positive once again for COVID.
"This morning, his [Biden] SARS-CoV-2 antigen testing remained positive," O'Connor underscored.
However, the doctor pointed out that Biden's temperature, blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, and respiratory rate remained "entirely normal."
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also assured that Biden has no "reoccurring symptoms and that the president "feels good."
"But as we know, all of us have had COVID, we do have a little bit of a lingering cough, a little bit of maybe a lingering sniffle. That's not uncommon to happen, so that's what we are talking about," Jean-Pierre noted.
In the memo, O'Connor emphasized that Biden will continue his "strict isolation."
Biden's physician underscored that the president will continue working from the executive residence, adding that he wants to protect people from the White House, executive residence, Secret Service, and other staff against the disease.
O'Connor then ended his memo by saying that he will keep his promise to keep the public updated regarding the condition or treatment plan of the president.
Joe Biden Tests Positive for COVID Once Again
Last week, President Joe Biden tested positive for COVID again, days after he tested negative for the disease. Biden's physician announced that the president tested positive for the disease through antigen testing.
Before his rebound battle with COVID, the president was given a five-day regimen of Paxlovid.
It can be recalled that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has warned the medical community about the reports of rebound cases within two to eight days after testing negative for the virus.
White House COVID-19 coordinator Dr. Ashish Jha previously announced that the current clinical data revealed around 5-8% of people that underwent the Paxlovid treatment have tested positive for COVID once again.
President Joe Biden has tested positive for the highly contagious BA.5 variant of COVID-19.
