One of the best ways to get acquainted with the Dominican Republic is by getting to know the wildlife living within it. Eastern National Park, a UNESCO Worlds Heritage Site, offers the best experience when you want to get close to the country's animals.

The park is home to one of the largest marine parks in the Caribbean region, which features manatees, four species of turtles, bottlenose dolphins, and numerous fish species.

Find yourself in awe as the park is also home to around 112 species of birds and rhinoceros and iguana.

Experience Culture in Santo Domingo

Another way to fall in love with the Dominican Republic is by walking in Santo Domingo, the country's capital.

Dine el fresco and shop in the streets of Calle el Condo. You can also take Instagram-worthy photos of the city's colonial architecture, serving as the city's museums, restaurants, hotels, and even shops.

Santo Domingo is also the home of the oldest cathedral in the western hemisphere. This city is also the home of the UNESCO World Heritage site, Zona Colonial, which boasts Spanish old-world architecture and quaint cobblestone streets.
