Jillian Michaels to Leave 'The Biggest Loser' for Third Time
Jillian Michaels will be saying good-bye to "The Biggest Loser" again.
The personal trainer, NBC and Shine America have decided to part ways, according to a statement released on June 25. This will be the third time that Michaels, who is known for her drill sergeant approach when helping contestants reach their goals, will leave the series.
A spokesman for production company Shine America said that right now it is focusing on Season 16 of the show; Michaels has yet to respond to media inquiries, notes CBS.
Her replacement has yet to be named, though the show returns to NBC in September.
Michaels recently posed naked for Shape Magazine.
The 40-year-old spoke about feeling more comfortable in her 40s than in her 20s, and she showed off her abs and back muscles. Though she had some trouble turning 40, saying she was halfway through her life, she recognized that she looks the best she ever has, according to the Daily Mail.
"My abs are the best part of my body," she said. "I know I'm lucky because when I'm in decent shape overall they tend to get toned very quickly."
She added that planks, which include side, extended and imbalanced varieties, are her best exercise for abs.
"My best reason for having strong arms is because I love to pick up my kids," she said of her two children. "I love having a strong back. Metaphorically speaking, it means I can carry a lot of responsibility on my shoulders -- and I do -- for my family, friends and fans."
She also revealed her trouble zone: her bottom half, where she says she carries all her weight.
Though she has tried to do extra lunges or squats, she always feels that her butt is bigger than what she'd want it to be. But she's learned to deal with it, saying "you can't have it all."
