Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar told the media that Rodriguez recorded herself firing a handgun several times outside the window of a moving car.
The Texas woman was charged with a Class A misdemeanor in violating a protective order and a 3rd-degree felony with deadly conduct with a firearm.
The video in question and Rodriguez's Instagram account where she posted it have since been deleted. Sheriff's deputies have been able to identify her because of the video.
It was found that Rodriguez has a criminal history involving domestic violence, according to KSAT. She also has a protective order which bars her from possession of firearms.
Salazar noted that the video clearly showed Rodriguez firing into several houses as her car drove by. In a statement, he noted that "by God's grace, no one was hurt or killed as a result of the stupidity."

A warrant is currently being executed for a residence on the east side of Bexar County. The sheriff's office is now also in possession of a Chrysler 300.
It will be used as evidence that a shooting occurred since it is already associated with the case. In a press briefing, Javier Salazar said that multiple possible suspects are involved.
They had been drinking all night with Genesis Rodriguez, and they decided to drive all over the neighborhood and start shooting. He added that more arrests are about to be made.
While the shooter has already been arrested, the car's driver is still at large. As for the Texas woman, Salazar said she had been to Bexar County Jail before, and that is where she found herself again.
The suspect also released her own statement, describing her act of shooting up some homes as "a drunken act of stupidity."
