Is LeBron James Putting a Lot of Pressure on Bronny? Lakers Star Doesn't Care
LeBron James has recently opened up about the possibility of finishing his career with his son, Bronny James. LeBron's son is eligible to enter the NBA as soon as the 2024 NBA Draft opens up.
Clutch Points reported that some had criticized James for placing "some very large expectations" on his son's shoulders. LeBron replied to the criticisms by saying that "I don't give a sh** what nobody says."
He noted that their quest and journey cannot be guessed based on what everybody said. The Lakers star added that there are people who will love you and hate you, saying it was "just the way of the land. No matter what you do."
LeBron James plans to play alongside his son, but Bronny James will have to make it to the NBA first, which is not a sure thing as of now.

LeBron James on Son Bronny James
Bronny James is currently entering his senior high school. If Bronny makes it to NBA, he and his father will be the first father-son duo to play together in the league.
According to Sports Illustrated, LeBron James and his wife Savannah confirmed that their son is leaning toward playing college basketball instead of choosing the NBA G-League, Overtime Elite.
Savannah said that Bronny wants to have a college career, adding that she thinks it would be really "cool" for her son to start with collegiate basketball and start his legacy in that area.
LeBron agreed that he believes Bronny wants to take the "college route." LeBron's son has received interest from Memphis, Ohio State, and USC, among others.
The NBA star tweeted that his son has not taken one visit yet and has only had a few calls with coaches and universities. LeBron added that the public will know about Bronny's choice once he has made it.
Bronny will play his senior season in Los Angeles at the Sierra Canyon School. He said that he hopes to play in the NBA. However, he is not counting on it.
The 17-year-old NBA hopeful noted that he will see what happens. However, if the NBA does not happen for him, he is "cool," Sports Illustrated reported.
LeBron James in Lakers
LeBron James recently signed a two-year extension contract with Los Angeles Lakers, which would keep him through the 2023-24 season.
It puts reports to rest that LeBron's playing year in the league would be cut short. In Sports Illustrated's cover story, he said he could play for a while. LeBron noted that it is up to his body, but more importantly, his mind, according to Lake Show Life.
He added that if his mind can stay sharp, fresh, and motivated, then "the sky's not even a limit for me." LeBron concluded that they would see what shall happen regarding his retirement timeline.
The soonest that LeBron James could share the court with his son seems to be the 2024-25 season. He will be 40 by that time.
