Tom Brady Gets Brutally Honest on Family Situation Amid Rumored ‘Fight’ With Gisele Bundchen
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady was supposed to retire last February but decided to unretire and return to the NFL. Unfortunately, his Brazilian supermodel wife, Gisele Bundchen, was not too fond of the idea. She reportedly stormed off their home and ran away to Costa Rica, before going back to Florida and spending time with her kids.
According to Page Six, the two had an epic fight about Brady's unretirement decision, as they previously agreed that the Super Bowl-winning quarterback would spend more time with his family after his retirement. However, that did not happen, with Brady deciding to go back to the NFL and continue his career, leaving Gisele Bundchen very unhappy.
Tom Brady Finally Talks About Why He Decided To Come Out of Retirement
Tom Brady has not addressed the situation publicly, until now. The Buccaneers quarterback recently appeared on his and Jim Gray's "Let's Go!" podcast and talked about why he decided to come out of retirement again. He also talked about his recent struggles in life.
He told co-host Jim Gray that he cannot stop his life, even though sports is happening. This is about the 11-day break he had from training camp, which certainly raised a few eyebrows.
He explained that even though he is playing his 23rd year in the NFL, he now has a high school freshman playing football too, as well as a 12-year-old and a 9-year-old who are both going through their own lives. He added that he has a lot of things that are really important and he is trying to maximize that as well.
As to why he decided to unretire, the seven-time Super Bowl champion told Gray that he simply could not walk away from the game, especially after leading the entire NFL in passing yards and passing touchdowns.
Tom Brady explained that he owes it to his coaches and teammates, and felt he still had a little left, so he decided to give it another shot.
Yahoo! Sports noted that he has said that he wanted to play until the age of 45 many times already, and is still hoping to avenge his team's NFC Divisional Round loss to the Los Angeles Rams last winter.
Troubles With Gisele Bundchen Not Talked About During Podcast
While Tom Brady talked about coming out of retirement and why he wanted to play again in his podcast, one name was not mentioned at all or even referenced, and that is his wife, Gisele Bundchen.
While he referenced his kids in the podcast, he never referenced anything about his current marriage situation, as his spat with Gisele over his decision to unretire is going on.
However, the New York Post has noted that while Tom Brady has not yet addressed his current situation in his marriage, Giselle has not spoken out publicly either. She has already returned to Florida and spent time with their kids last weekend.
