US Migrant Crisis: Texas Gov. Greg Abbott Follows Ron DeSantis, Sends 2 Buses of Migrants to Kamala Harris’ Residence
Republican Governors Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott are using the current immigration crisis to get back at their primary political opponents - the Democrats.
Earlier today, Abbott shipped off two busloads of immigrants to Vice President Kamala Harris' residence in the Naval Observatory in Washington DC.
Abbott, who is mitigating the Texas border for months already, has been sending migrants to Democratic-led cities and states in the country unannounced – sending state and city officials scrambling for resources.
Texas Border Migrants Shipped Off to Vice President Kamala Harris
According to Fox News, two buses full of migrants coming from Del Rio, Texas arrived near the Naval Observatory in Washington DC earlier this morning, September 15.
The Naval Observatory is the official residence of the Vice President of the United States. Kamala Harris, a Democrat, currently resides at the estate.
The move to ship off migrants to the residence is one of Texas Governor Greg Abbott's ways to mitigate the immigration crisis and troll his political opponents across the country.
The fleet of immigrants that arrived in DC was reportedly composed of over 100 Mexicans, Colombians, Uruguayans, and Venezuelans.
Non-government organization Sanctuary DMV welcomed the migrants to the drop-off point but revealed later on that they would be settling in a local church nearby.
Vice President Kamala Harris has not yet issued any comments on Thursday morning's ruckus on her residence. The Vice President recently claims that the border is "secure" despite rampant illegal border crossings in the area.
Meanwhile, Harris was not the only Democratic key official this week that was on the receiving end of migrants from the border.

Martha's Vineyard Surprised Over DeSantis' Planeful of Migrants
Last Wednesday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis followed Texas Governor Greg Abbott's plan as he sent two planefuls of migrants from his home state to Martha's Vineyard in Massachusets, the Western Journal reports.
Martha's Vineyard is situated on Massachusets' elite secluded coastline, where Obama's summer estate is located.
In a statement, DeSantis' office confirmed that the planes did come from Florida, in his instructions. He noted that it was part of the state's relocation program to transport illegal immigrants to "sanctuary destinations."
"States like Massachusetts, New York, and California will better facilitate the care of these individuals who they have invited into our country by incentivizing illegal immigration through their designation as 'sanctuary states,'" DeSantis sarcastically doubled down on President Joe Biden's "open" border policies.
Democrats have decried Gov. DeSantis' move to do this. Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Julian Cyr called it a "cruel ruse that manipulates families that are seeking a better life."
Meanwhile, the White House, especially President Joe Biden is taking drastic measures to mitigate the crisis. Reuters reported that the president is now enacting Title 42, the same COVID-19 expulsion order that he publicly vowed to eradicate.
Biden is asking for Mexico's help to accept migrants from Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua following a huge influx that he hopes to rapidly expel into the country.
