Multi-platinum recording artist Camila Cabello has finally become the new coach of "The Voice" Season 22, replacing last season's rookie coach Ariana Grande.

While everyone is excited about her addition to the "The Voice" family, including returning coach Gwen Stefani, it seems like his husband, longstanding coach Blake Shelton is "unimpressed" with Cabello's performance so far in the show.

Cabello officially joined the coaching panel alongside Shelton, Stefani, and John Legend, who will sit in the iconic red swivel chairs on the 22nd season of "The Voice" franchise that started in 2011.

Camila Cabello' The Voice' Coach Performance: Is She Doing Well?

Kicking off Monday night on NBC, "The Voice" Season 22 opened with the addition of a new coach Camila Cabello and a returning one, Grammy Award-winning singer Gwen Stefani, USA Today reported.

Stefani is already a familiar face in the reality singing competition as she served as a judge for six nonconsecutive seasons. She got her first win on the show in the show's 19th season with Carter Rubin.

Cabello was not entirely a stranger to the show as she had been John Legend's coach advisor in Season 21. For Cabello, it feels like a "full circle moment "for her to become a coach and a judge at a TV singing competition as she started at one when she was 15.

Cabello auditioned at "X-Factor," before eventually becoming a part of Fifth Harmony along with Ally Brooke, Normani, Lauren Jauregui, and Dinah Jane.

"I am so excited that Camila is a coach. She is already going to be such a formidable opponent for us. She's smart, she's talented, and she got a start on The Voice at Team Legend. And she was a great advisor, and I told her then, 'I know you're going to be a great coach if you ever want to do this,'" the EGOT-winning singer John Legend said.

Stefani also shared the same thought. She went on to detail her amazement with Cabello for doing a great job as a "The Voice" Coach, saying it must have come from the "Havana" hitmaker's career experience since she was 15 years old.

However, for Stefani's husband, Blake Shelton, it seemed like the two were butting heads during this season's blind auditions. Shelton, who has been in all 22 seasons of the show, holds the most senior coach spot among the four.

He jokingly told host Carson Daly that he was "not impressed" with Camila Cabello, prompting a quick retort from the new coach: "That's what a very threatened person would say. You're just trying to intimidate me. It's not working."

Team Camila Snags Country Artist from Team Blake, 4-Chair Turner

Blake Shelton's comedic on-screen rift with Camila Cabello seemed to be warranted after the latter was picked by the season's first four-chair turner - Morgan Myles, who sang a soulful raspy rendition of "Hallelujah."

Shelton made his case to Myles, pleading with her. But Cabello, who used her only block this season on Gwen Stefani, won Myles to be on her team by talking about her experience blending genres and how she could tell that Morgan was an artist.

In the same episode, Camila Cabello also annoyed Shelton even more after Miami and Cuban native Orlando Mendez, a country singer, and another four-chair turner picked the former, banking over her Latina roots over Shelton's illustrious country music career.

"The Voice" airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
