Prince Andrew Tried to Block King Charles III Succession and Asked Queen Elizabeth to Make Prince William Monarch: New Book
Prince Andrew allegedly tried to prevent his older brother, King Charles III, from being the next monarchy before Queen Elizabeth II died.
MARCA reported that it was revealed in Angela Levin's biography of Camilla, which was entitled "Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall: From Outcast to Future Queen Consort."
According to the book, Andrew lobbied with the Queen to stop Charles from becoming the King of England and allegedly conspired with Princess Diana and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson to prevent Charles from being a king.
The biography claimed that Andrew strongly opposed the union of Charles and Camilla, who are currently the King and Queen consort. Levin attributed the information to a "top insider," who claimed Andrew and Diana allegedly planned to "push Prince Charles aside."
The insider alleged that Diana was in the ploy when she was alive, plotting with "Andrew to try to push Prince Charles aside so Prince Andrew could become regent to William."
At the time, the prince was still a teenager. The book noted that Charles' behavior was "very, very negative and extremely unpleasant to the Queen." It added that it was one of the rare occasions that Prince Andrew did not get his way.

New Book Reveals Prince Andrew and King Charles III Relationship
Irish Mirror reported that Prince Andrew and King Charles III were said to have different personalities, values, and approaches to life.
The same royal source said that Andrew was one of the several whom the late monarch asked for advice on the issue of Charles marrying Camilla. The book claimed that the Duke of York had tried to persuade the late Queen not to allow his brother to marry Camilla.
It added that Andrew's manner was "quite poisonous, mean, unhelpful, and very nasty about Camilla." Andrew claimed that Camilla was "insufficiently aristocratic and that she was not to be trusted."
The Duke of York is no longer a working royal and was also forced to wear civilian clothes as he followed his late mother's procession to Westminster Hall last Wednesday. He was also stripped of all his honorary military titles and was ordered to give up his HRH title.
King Charles III and Line of Succession
Royal commentator and author Robert Jobson noted that King Charles III needs to figure out "the line of succession" to ensure that the crown will be safeguarded should a "tragedy strike."
The newly ascended king is urged to choose a person who could become the Prince of Princess Regent in support of young Prince George if anything happens to both him and Prince William, according to Daily Express.
Jobson believes that Prince Harry could not fulfill the task of supporting Prince George, being that he was also not a working royal.
The royal expert claimed that George being handed the crown at a very young age due to a tragedy had worried the late Queen. Jobson then noted that the heir would be a nine-year-old boy if something happened to Charles and William.
"If something dreadful should happen to both him and William, then the heir would be a nine-year-old boy. There would need to be a Prince or Princess Regent until George was old enough to rule," he said.
