A Nevada mom, identified as Elizabeth Tanner, has been arrested after she attacked a bus driver four times when he failed to deliver her kids on time.

Business Insider reported that the 37-year-old was arrested over an incident that occurred on August 17 when she stormed inside the school bus with two other parents.

The driver was identified as Vincente Linan. He explained to the district police officers that he was late as he was forced to pull over three times to control the kids inside the vehicle.

It was reported that the children were climbing over seats, putting tape over the security camera, and pulling the emergency window.

One incident included a girl grabbing the steering wheel and saying that she was going to drive.

Nevada Mom Attacks Bus Driver

Linan was reportedly punched by "an irate mom" and broke his glasses.

Tanner was identified as the one who punched Linan. She was reportedly angry because the bus was an hour late dropping off her child, according to Clark County School District Police reports.

Las Vegas Review-Journal noted that Tanner was yelling and had struck Linan in the face four times.

Another parent also took aim at Linan but did not hit him, according to police.

A police report noted that a man outside the bus was yelling and making "threatening gun gestures with his hands."

Tanner was identified by the school principal, Virginia Ratliff. Upon identification, investigating officer, Eric Schnaidt, called Tanner and left a voicemail.

Schnaidt wrote in the arrest report that she did not call back. Schnaidt called again, and her phone was turned off.

Tanner was arrested and is now facing four charges of battery on a protected person, one count of burglary of a business, and one count of burglary of a motor vehicle, according to court documents.

A statement from the district in response to school bus driver safety noted that the Clark County School District had been "proactive in working to increase safety for all students and employees."

The school district said it includes upgrades to the camera systems on all buses.

Clark County had also been working to respond to driver shortage.

In addition, the district's nearly 2,000 buses have been undergoing a $6 million upgrade to their camera systems.

Las Vegas Bus Drivers Attacked

In August, two bus drivers were reported to be attacked in separate incidents.

Jason Gateley, vice president of the union representing bus drivers, described the incident as "deplorable," adding that there is no excuse "for any worker to be attacked in any workplace," as reported by another Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The school district noted that persons of interest had been identified, and investigations regarding the incident are underway.

Superintendent Jesus Jara condemned the attack on the bus drivers, adding that the Clark County School District will not "tolerate attacks on our staff or students by anyone."
