"SuperFly" actor and rapper Kaalan Walker was found guilty of raping aspiring models he met online and received a sentence of 50 years to life in prison, according to authorities.

Walker, 27, was sentenced in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday.

According to the Associated Press, he was convicted of three counts of forcible rape, one count of assault to commit oral copulation, two counts of statutory rape and two counts of rape by intoxication in April.

The jury said Kaalan Walker was not guilty of one count of digital penetration and two counts of forcible rape.

"You're going to see a dark side of him," said Deputy District Attorney Yasmin Fardghassemi in her opening statement.

Prosecutors say that Walker started contacting women, including aspiring models, through Instagram and Twitter in 2013. He told them he could help them get jobs and meet celebrities, People reported.

For two years, the police said Walker would isolate the women before sexually abusing them.

"When they said, 'Stop,' he didn't care, " Fardghassemi said.

According to a press release from the Los Angeles Police Department, Walker was originally detained in Van Nuys in 2018 after investigators linked him to a string of sexual assaults.

Kaalan Walker's Attorney Said Accusers Were Liars During the Trial

Fardghassemi claimed that more than 30 alleged victims had come forward to accuse Walker of misbehavior.

She said one of them is a 16-year-old girl whom he offered to pay $5,000 to appear in a music video. The girl thought that their meeting was for her to sign a contract, but Walker brought her to a downtown Los Angeles complex and raped her.

According to Fardghassemi, he offered another victim a $200-per-hour modeling gig. He brought her to Los Angeles from New York, gave her three alcoholic drinks and raped her before flying back to Manhattan. The victim had a rape exam at Bellevue Hospital.

During the trial, Walker's lawyer, Andrew Flier, said that his client is not guilty of the charges and that he has been "portrayed as a monster."

Flier informed the jury that the alleged victims were seeking "revenge," adding, "They're going to lie to you because they know that they fell for his B.S."

Walker frequently makes false promises, and they fall for them. According to Flier, each of these women "voluntarily made their own decisions."

He also said that Walker did not force them and that they will not let that revenge happen, claiming that his client has suffered "a living nightmare" and the accusations have ruined his great career, NBC Los Angeles noted.

Before getting a two-episode arc on the drama TV show In Contempt and a part in the remake of the 1970s thriller SuperFly, Walker made his film debut in Kings, which starred Halle Berry and Daniel Craig.
