Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is currently in hot water. This time, however, he is not in trouble with his wife Gisele Bundchen, but with a large portion of his own fanbase, U.S. military veterans. They slammed the football star after some comments he made during his "Let's Go!" podcast.

The 45-year-old Brady had Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant as his guest on his podcast, and he told the basketball star and Olympic gold medalist some comments that raised some eyebrows among people serving or who have previously served with the military.

"Me being 45 now, do I think the same way? I almost look at a football season like going away on deployment in the military and it's like, man, here I go again," said Brady.

However, this very comment did not go too well with everyone, as current military members and veterans, slammed the football legend for his insensitive comments.

U.S. Military Personnel, Veterans, Slam Tom Brady With Harsh Comments and Memes

According to The Daily Mail, former and current members of the military had some very harsh words for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB.

One of those veterans was Heather, who told Tom Brady to "go f**k yourself." She added that being a quarterback is not even close to military deployment, as she could not see her children for a year, and they also cannot fly out and see her do her job.

Another veteran, Travis Akers, stated that out of his eight deployments, he never made $15,000,000 or went home every night, or even spent time with his family.

Brady also got slammed by an actual military hero. Brad Thomas fought and survived during the Black Hawk Down incident in Somalia, and was even portrayed in the movie, "Black Hawk Down." Thomas posted a meme of a photo of himself in Iraq and photoshopped Brady into it. It had the caption "IRAQ 2003 COLORIZED."

According to the New York Post, several others also evoked the late Arizona Cardinals defensive back Pat Tillman, who left his lucrative football career to become a U.S. Army Ranger after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He died in the line of duty in 2004.

"I'm sure Mr. Pat Tillman would not agree with him," said one person on social media.

Tom Brady and His Competitive Nature Led to His Troubles With His Family

During that same podcast, Tom Brady admitted that his competitive nature is stopping his natural inclination to want to spend more time away from the game. He stated that he always finds himself obsessing over winning another championship.

"Whatever you may say, like, 'Aw man, I want to spend a little more time doing this during the season,' the reality is your competitiveness takes over," Brady said.

According to CBS Sports. the Bucs QB then added that as much as he wants to have this playful [work-life] balance, he admitted that he will still end up doing what he had always been doing.

This competitive nature has led Brady to his decision to unretire, which also resulted in his current marriage troubles with his wife Gisele Bundchen, who was reportedly unhappy with him going back to football after retiring again. This fight led to Gisele flying off to Costra Rica and sparking some divorce rumors. The couple have now consulted divorce lawyers and are living separately.
