Kanye West caused a stir in October 2022 by, among other things, wearing a "White Lives Matter" t-shirt to Paris Fashion Week and making antisemitic comments online.

In the days that followed, several major companies and athletes who had previously collaborated with the American rapper severed ties with him.

Therefore, despite Ye's possession of some of the world's most costly assets, including ranches and a Boeing 747, he has been demoted from his billionaire rank on Forbes' list, which he has held since 2020.

'White Lives Matter' and Antisemitic Rants

On October 3, during Paris Fashion Week, Ye hosted a private show for a hundred guests. He was spotted at the show wearing a T-shirt proclaiming, "White Lives Matter." Some saw the term as a fascist rallying cry in response to the Black Lives Matter movement.

The Southern Poverty Law Center labels White Lives Matter as a neo-Nazi organization in its database of hate groups.

On October 8, 2022, he violated Twitter and Instagram's rules by posting antisemitic comments.

Ye has previously threatened to shortly go "death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE" in one of his posts that was later deleted.

Kanye West had previously posted a message on Instagram in which he implied that Sean "Diddy" Combs was influenced by "the Jewish people."

According to the Anti-Defamation League, Ye's comment was "deeply troubling, dangerous, and antisemitic, period."

Ye was consequently banned from using Twitter, and Meta limited his access to Instagram.

Kim Kardashian, one of the most followed celebrities on Instagram and the former wife of Ye, also released a statement condemning his statements in the wake of the uproar over his tweets.

Ye then appeared on Tucker Carlson's Fox News show a few days later, where he allegedly made conspiracy-related remarks that were scrubbed from television.

According to Lifestyle Asia, Ye defended his choice to wear the "White Lives Matter" T-shirt in the same conversation, claiming he found it funny.

He also said that the Jewish son-in-law of former president Donald Trump, Jared Kushner, negotiated peace treaties in the Middle East "to make money."

After Ye's statements and actions, the Goyim Defense League, an American white supremacist, and antisemitic hate group, allegedly hoisted a banner over a Los Angeles flyover that read, "Kanye is right about the Jews."

Allegedly, several members of the organization also gave the Nazi salute.

Kanye West Canceled by Companies

CEO of Endeavor, Ari Emanuel, urged Ye's business partners to cut ties with the musician. These partners include Apple, Spotify, and others.

Balenciaga cut ties with Ye, although he walked in the label's Summer 2023 show at Paris Fashion Week on October 2.

The parent company of Balenciaga announced they would no longer collaborate with Ye in a brief statement released on October 21 (which did not include Ye's antisemitic sentiments or his "WLM" shirt).

A CAA employee informed Billboard on October 24 that the agency no longer represented Ye.

The rapper signed with CAA in 2012 after Cara Lewis became his agent but remained with the agency after Lewis left in 2016.

Adidas decided to terminate its nearly 10-year association with Ye after releasing the popular and lucrative Yeezy sneakers on October 25 in response to calls to cancel him.

Then Ye showed up at Skechers' headquarters in Los Angeles the day after Adidas' decision, but he was quickly escorted out.

After Ye and the Gap parted ways in September, the latter went a step further on October 25. Gap said in a statement that it was taking urgent action to stop selling the rapper's merch everywhere and that the website Yeezygap.com was no longer active.

In a statement to Billboard on October 25, Universal Music Group made clear that it had severed ties with the rapper in 2021 and criticized his antisemitic views after working with Ye under its Def Jam label and merchandise subsidiary Bravado.

Sources said that JP Morgan Chase severed connections with Ye before the present scandal surrounding the rapper.

According to the letter released on Twitter by conservative U.S. commentator Candace Owens, the bank cut ties with Ye and his label, Yeezy Inc., on September 20.

This information was first made public on October 12 after Owens released the letter. Reports also said on October 26 that Kanye West is no longer working with the Manhattan law firm Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft, which had previously represented West in his efforts to end his association with Gap back in September.

Ye's Donda Sports in Boiling Water

After hearing the rapper make antisemitic comments, Los Angeles Rams defensive player Aaron Donald announced through Twitter on October 25 that he was cutting relations with Ye's Donda Sports.

Moreover, shooting guard Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics, who had earlier said he would remain with Donda Sports, revealed he had changed his mind.

Billboard noted that on October 26, Scholastic Play-By-Play Classics confirmed that Kanye West's Donda Academy team was no longer from its season schedule.

Even Donald Trump Hates Ye

In November, Ye said that he asked Donald Trump to be his running partner when he visited Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Fuentes, a notorious white nationalist, accompanied Ye.

It did not go well as Kanye West said that Trump yelled at him and said that his idea of running for president in 2024 was a mistake.

Trump was left furious after that dinner.

Ye Continues His Antisemitic Rants, Catching Pres. Joe Biden's Attention

On Alex Jones's far-right conspiracy theory show December 1, Ye denies the Holocaust and openly praises Adolf Hitler, among other stunning antisemitic sentiments.

The interview has drawn substantial criticism for appearing to validate rumors that Ye has privately expressed admiration for Hitler and for being a significant escalation of Ye's previous antisemitic remarks.

President Biden has joined the chorus of those condemning Kanye West's defense of Hitler.

"I just want to make a few things clear: The Holocaust happened. Hitler was a demonic figure," Biden tweeted.

"And instead of giving it a platform, our political leaders should be calling out and rejecting antisemitism wherever it hides," the president wrote, adding "Silence is complicity."
