During a two-day trial, Republican candidate Kari Lake could not back her claims that the Arizona gubernatorial election was stolen and that Democrat Governor-elect Katie Hobbs cheated.

AZ Central reported that while Lake teased bombshell evidence that could overturn the Arizona election results, it turned out to be a bust as her attorneys cannot back her claims up with actual evidence.

Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson oversaw the trial that the MAGA Republican brought, and he dismissed most, but not all of the counts mentioned in Lake's election lawsuit.

In dismissing some claims, the judge said Lake could not bring any evidence that showed somebody intentionally caused the county's ballot-on-demand printers to malfunction.

The judge added that Lake also could not prove that enough "identifiable" votes were lost to change the election results.

Kari Lake Only Presented MAGA Talking Points, Criticized Election Officials, Did Not Present Evidence

During the 2-day trial, which concluded late Thursday afternoon, Kari Lake only criticized how Maricopa County managed the election.

She also claimed that the long lines turned off would-be Republican voters and made them decide not to vote.

According to CNN, the defeated candidate was suing as part of her efforts to overturn the election results but had nothing to show the court.

Maricopa County lawyer Tom Liddy, also a Republican, hit back at his own party in the state and Lake's campaign team. He blamed her and the party for casting doubt on the validity of early voting and mail-in voting.

He stated in court that Lake and the party's actions have left "GOP voters bearing the brunt of minor issues on Election Day."

He then pushed back on Lake's complaints, saying, "That's political malpractice," adding, "You reap what you sow."

Kari Lake Still Confident of Victory in Arizona Election Trial

It is now up to Judge Peter Thompson to decide whether Kari Lake was correct or if she is blowing hot air in her lawsuit against Maricopa County election officials.

Although experts said she did not have any evidence to support her case, Lake told reporters outside of the Arizona courthouse that they had proved "without a shadow of a doubt that there was malicious intent that caused disruption so great it changed the results of the election."

She noted that she and her attorneys have provided expert testimony while the other side only provided activists to "save face."

Her lawyers zeroed in on Maricopa County's problems with its ballot printers during the election last month. She claimed that the printed ballots were "too light to be read by the on-site tabulators at polling places."

However, the Associated Press reported that despite her claims, Maricopa County officials already said everyone had the chance to vote and that all the ballots had been counted, including the ones that experienced printer problems.

Officials noted that those ballots were sent to the elections department headquarters, which had more sophisticated counters. The judge did not say when he would issue a ruling.

Kari Lake lost to Katie Hobbs by about 17,000 votes in the November midterm election.
