Shailene Woodley Gets Brutally Honest on Aaron Rodgers Split
Aaron Rodgers and his ex-fiancée Shailene Woodley faced numerous emotional and professional obstacles last year.
Woodley, 31, recently spoke with Net-A-Porter about "the darkest, hardest time in [her] life" while making the upcoming Showtime series, "Three Women," while also dealing with her breakup from Aaron Rodgers, 39, last year.
"It was hard to film because I was going through the darkest, hardest time in my life; it was winter in New York, and my personal life was s-ty, so it felt like a big pain bubble for eight months," Woodley said.
She continued that she was thankful that her on-screen persona in the television adaptation of Lisa Taddeo's book, which followed the private lives of three women in the country, allowed her to cry and work out her emotions while at work, said The New York Post.
After completing his 18th NFL season, during which his Packers went 8-9 and ultimately missed the playoffs, Rodgers was initially connected to Woodley in October 2020.
After that, in January of 2021, when accepting the NFL MVP trophy, the quarterback praised his "fiancée," who was later revealed to be Woodley.

Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers Split
The series, "Three Women," was shot from October 2021 to May 2022.
After being publicly linked for over a year, PEOPLE reported the Shailene Woodley-Aaron Rodgers split in February.
However, after being seen hanging out together, reports said that in April, the couple split up for good.
Aside from that, Woodley told Net-a-Porter that the attention on her relationship with Rodgers, 39, was "violating."
"It honestly never really hit me that millions of people worldwide were actually watching these things and paying attention to them. Then, I dated somebody in America who was very famous," said Woodley, claiming that it was the first time she was involved in a relationship with someone famous.
"I watched scrutiny, opinions, the desire for people to know my life and his life and our life - it just felt violating in a way that, before, it was fun," Shailene Woodley added.
She said that she is very private, so whenever she posted something, Woodley felt she was giving too much of herself to people she did not trust.
Shailene Woodley Says Her Relationship with Aaron Rodgers Was Not Making Her Happy
A source tells PEOPLE that Shailene felt everything was on Aaron's terms, and she was unhappy about it.
A source stated that their February breakup was cordial, and their relationship "just wasn't working."
The source added that they are incredibly different individuals with demanding careers and cannot overcome challenges. But they remain friends. It just did not work out for them.
However, another source said the following month that Rodgers was hoping they may make amends.
But they were both swamped with work and had little time for their relationship.
The source added that Aaron Rodgers wanted to give it another go after his season is finished, and he thinks Shailene is very special. However, her hesitation is greater.
