The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday night has risen to a whopping $526 million. So did anyone win this massive grand prize?

No one has been reported yet to have won the Powerball top prize, with a cash option of $284 million, following Wednesday night's drawing.

The Powerball jackpot has risen to an estimated $526 million after no one won on Monday night's Powerball drawing,

According to USA Today, no one has won the top prize since November 19. Thus, the Powerball jackpot has continued to rise in the past weeks.

Wednesday night's winning numbers were 9, 17, 20, 38, 40, and the Powerball was 18. The Power Play was 2X.

The winning ticket holder can claim the full $526 million in annualized payments over 29 years or receive the cash value worth $284 million in a single lump sum payment.

The most common one that winners often choose is the lump sum option. Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at approximately 10:59 p.m. ET.

Powerball is being played in 45 states, as well as in Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

How to Play Powerball Lottery?

Each ticket is worth only $2. The player can choose or opt to randomly receive five numbers between 1 and 69 for the white balls and one number between 1 and 26 for the red Powerball.

To win the Powerball jackpot, your numbers must match the five white balls and the red Powerball.

Powerball also offers eight more opportunities to win a prize across the game's non-jackpot tiers, depending on the number of balls matched.

Non-jackpot prizes are between $4 and $1 million, and a prize could go higher if you opt into "Powerplay" by paying an extra $1. Powerplay multiplies non-jackpot winning money by 2, 3, 4, 5, or 10.

The 10X Powerplay option is only available when the prize is $150 million or below. The Powerball game's second-tier "Match 5" prize is capped at $2 million for the Powerplay, according to USA Today.

Players have another chance to match their numbers after each Powerball drawing through the additional add-on feature called "Double Play," which s available in some jurisdictions for $1 per play.

During Monday night's drawing, the five white balls were 12, 31, 47, 58, 60, and the red Powerball was 23, according to SILIVE.
