CNET reported that Ben Affleck's looking painfully bored at the Grammys is now a "Sad Affleck" meme.

"Ben Affleck is every introvert everywhere," wrote a Twitter user. "You can see his batteries draining in real time. Man is already at 23%."

Another wrote, "Ben's bringing the same energy to the Grammys that a 15 yr old brings when they go anywhere with their parents."

The most well-known image of Affleck appearing as "not really into it" was taken during the Stevie Wonder performance, which confused many of the audience. A netizen wrote, "Ben Affleck would rather be anywhere else than front row at the #Grammys2023 watching Stevie Wonder crush Higher Ground."

Another Twitter user wrote, "Channeling Ben Affleck when boss calls for a late Friday meeting."

However, there were others who have defended Affleck's expression, pointing out that the actor has always been honest about his difficulties.

"Ben looks like he's sensitive to noise. Also, he's a recovering alcoholic and there's booz everywhere. Stay strong Ben! I know there's a lot going on," a netizen said.

After becoming viral because of his "Sad Affleck" meme, a source told ET about the couple's date night. The insider claimed that Ben Affleck was feeling tired, but he and Jennifer Lopez "had a fun date night out at the Grammys."

"They have both been very busy working on several projects, and Ben was feeling tired... He wanted to go and support Jen, but he wasn't his usual self," the source noted. 

The insider also said that JLo knows how supportive Affleck is towards her and her work "but also gets that Ben is more of a homebody, and it isn't his thing to be out at events all the time."

The source added that the Latina superstar "is appreciative of his support, whether it's while they're out and about or just hanging at home." After the Grammys 2023 show, Lopez posted a subtle reference to their viral night at the Grammys on Instagram, which seemingly addressed the actor's trending memes.

"Always the best time with my love, my husband," Lopez wrote as a caption in a short video highlighting her Gucci gown.
