ABC's hit daytime talk show "The View" will look very different starting next season.

According to TMZ, both co-hosts Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy have been fired from the Emmy Award-winning broadcast due to low ratings and personality conflicts. As a result, only long-time host Whoopi Goldberg will remain on the panel.

An anonymous source also told Entertainment Weekly that Shepherd could be replaced by a male co-host next fall. Some of the potential replacements in the running include Ross Matthews and Jesse Palmer, reports TMZ.

Sources say that the network announced at a late Thursday meeting that Shepherd was fired, and McCarthy and executive producer Bill Geddie won't be there either. As a result, only Whoopi Goldberg will remain on the panel.

ABC released a statement to Broadcasting & Cable which suggests that the hosts did not leave voluntarily.

"'The View' will be moving in an exciting new direction next season and ABC has made decisions to evolve the show creatively," reads the statement, according to the Huffington Post.

In response, Shepherd released a statement saying, "It's been seven wonderful years on 'The View' and after careful consideration it is time for me to move on. I am extremely grateful to Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie for giving me the opportunity. I look forward to the business opportunities that lay ahead for me and I am incredibly grateful to my View family and my fans for supporting me on this journey."

Shepherd also posted a photo on Instagram Thursday night with the caption "Mr @DonnieWahlberg always takes care of his ladies @jennyannmccarthy & me! To be continued... ;O)"

McCarthy commented on the news on Twitter writing, "If Sherri goes... I go too. #sisters" and "My View will be changing too. As will with many hard working folks. Thanks to everyone at the show for your dedication and an amazing year."
