Prince Harry is seen to attend King Charles' coronation in May after it was confirmed that the prince and his wife, Meghan Markle, were invited to the event.

A royal expert predicted that the Duke of Sussex will be alone when he goes to his father's coronation. Paul Burrell, who used to be Princess Diana's butler, told Closer Magazine that Markle will not be "brave or strong enough" to face the rest of the royal family.

New York Post reported that Burrell said the king had "retained the moral high ground" when he invited the exiled royals.

He continued to say that he does not think Markle is "brave or strong enough" to attend King Charles' coronation. Burrell noted that the Duchess of Sussex will have to look in the eyes "of a family she's pushed under the bus."

The former butler of the late Princess Diana said Markle may have already told Harry that she will not be able to be "by his side" if he does attend.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Attendance at King Charles' Coronation

The Sussex couple has yet to announce if they will attend the king's coronation. Paul Burrell claimed their attendance would be "incredibly uncomfortable" if they decided to go, but it would be particularly harder for Meghan Markle.

The former butler also commented on Prince Harry's speculated attendance at his father's coronation, saying that it will be difficult for the prince to see Queen Consort Camilla at the coronation because she would be "where his mother could have been," The Mirror reported.

Harry has made some declarations in his debut memoir "Spare," claiming that he and his brother Prince William begged his father not to marry Camilla.

Harry had also made references to Camilla and called her "the other woman" in parts of his books while noting that he feared her being a "wicked stepmother."

A spokesman for the couple earlier confirmed that the Sussexes received email correspondence from his father's office about the coronation.

King Charles' Coronation

It was announced that King Charles' coronation will be followed by an additional bank holiday. His coronation will be held at Westminster Abbey, the venue for British coronations for the past 900 years.

Buckingham Palace noted in a press release confirming the coronation date that the ceremony has "retained a similar structure for over a thousand years," adding that Charles' coronation is expected to include the same core elements.

Meanwhile, it will reportedly reflect the new sovereign's goal for "a smaller, more modern monarchy." Sources noted that the ceremony would be shorter than the three hours allotted for the queen's coronation, according to Vogue.

Camilla will be crowned alongside Charles. Late Queen Elizabeth II declared in 2022 that it was her "sincere wish" that Camilla would take the title of Queen Consort once Charles ascended to the throne.
