Although the exact release date for Season 2 of the popular prison drama-comedy "Orange Is the New Black" has yet to be announced, the series and actors' Instagram accounts show that filming is in full swing.

Since filming for Season 2 began last month, photos from the set have been frequently uploaded to the official Instagram account of the Netflix original series.

The teaser photos include cast members practicing lines, goofing off and posing for group photos. Stars of the show including Danielle Brooks, Pablo Schreiber, Matt McGorry and Jackie Cruz have been shown in their signature prison attire.

Some of the cast members, including Brooks and Cruz, have uploaded pictures and videos from the set on their own Instagram accounts.

Brooks, who plays fan favorite "Taystee," recently uploaded a video of her and cast members Vicky Jeudy and Adrienne C. Moore "twerking" on set. Cruz, who portrays "Flaca," posted a group photo with her fellow actresses, including Uzo Aduba ("Crazy Eyes").

'Orange Is the New Black' revolves around Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling), a privileged and educated woman who is sentenced to a women's correctional facility after she's convicted of transporting drug money. The series has been praised for its frank portrayal of prison life and the diversity of its cast, which includes many Latin American and African American actresses.

According to All Things D, the under-hyped 'Orange Is the New Black' has actually garnered more viewership than the higher profile Netflix original shows released this year, such as 'House of Cards' and 'Arrested Development.'

'Orange' recently made headlines after it was announced that Laura Prepon would be returning for a limited number of episodes in Season 2. Prepon plays Alex Vause, a main character in Season 1 and the love interest of Piper.

The series, which was created by Jenji Kohan ('Weeds'), was renewed for a second season Jun. 27 before the first season was released in mid-July. Season 2 is set to be released in 2014.
