Former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes was found roaming the streets completely naked early Sunday morning. The actress reportedly had a psychotic episode, waved a car down, and called 911. She was then placed on a psychiatric hold.

TMZ reported that the former "All That" star was taken to a nearby police station. A mental health team then determined she needed to be placed on a 5150 psych hold.

Bynes was reportedly unhurt in the incident, though sources said it could have been much worse given the area where she was found roaming the streets naked. She is currently hospitalized and receiving care. She is expected to stay in the hospital for several days, as a psychiatric hold only lasts 72 hours, but it can be extended.

The former actress who rose to fame through popular Nickelodeon shows like "All That!" and "The Amanda Show" was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. This includes several bizarre incidents where she displayed odd and dangerous behavior, like when she set her neighbor's driveway on fire, almost engulfing her dog in flames. She was reportedly sent to a psychiatric ward for treatment after that incident.

Amanda Bynes Put Acting in Her Past and Was Trying To Be a Manicurist

Before the incident, Amanda Bynes was seemingly doing well, as she had already retired from acting and taken up cosmetology, as she only had 300 hours left in school to become a certified nail technician.

According to Yahoo! News, Bynes announced that she had changed her career back in October of last year. She previously attended FIDM to become a fashion designer and said that she has left acting in the past. She was attending a cosmetology college to become a manicurist.

Much like Britney Spears, she was under a conservatorship, with her mother being a conservator. It started in 2013, and recently, it seems that she has been doing well and is on track to become a manicurist. However, TMZ pointed out that her recent psychotic episode got many concerned for her well-being, and it is unclear if her parents or legal team will step in.

Amanda Bynes' Ex Claims Former Actress Was Off Her Meds Before Psychotic Episode

Paul Michael, who used to be Amanda Bynes' fiance, spoke with Page Six following the former actress' psychotic episode.

"She got off her meds, and she's still off her meds," he said before adding, "She's wild."

While they are not getting married anymore, Michael is still close to Bynes and stated that they are still friends. They were spotted out together as recently as December 2022.

However, they broke up in July 2022 after the former "She's the Man" star accused him of not taking his own meds and relapsing with "crack cocaine," and watching "mom-and-son porn." She also kicked him out of her home though she later clarified that she caught him watching "MILF Porn."

Michael clarified to Page Six that he was not kicked out but moved back to his home and "established boundaries."
