At the premiere of "John Wick: Chapter 4" on Monday, Keanu Reeves paid tribute to Lance Reddick with a blue ribbon on the lapel of his black suit.

According to Page Six, Reeves elegantly honored his co-star by wearing the sentimental blue ribbon, which can be clearly seen on his black suit as he walked on the red carpet.

Reddick's favorite color was blue, a suitable way to honor the actor who starred in all four installments of the movie franchise. Before the film's premiere, the cast and staff reportedly received blue ribbons.

The ribbons came with a note that said, "We kindly ask you to wear this royal blue ribbon in honor of our dear friend Lance Reddick."

Laurence Fishburne, Rina Sawayama, and Ian McShane were also sighted wearing blue ribbons. Keanu Reeves expressed his admiration for Reddick while on the red carpet at TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.

"He was a beautiful person, a special artist [and] a man of grace and dignity [with] such a passion for his craft," Reeves told Deadline, adding that to have had the chance to work with Reddick over 10 years and four films in the franchise is very special to him.

"It f--king sucks he's not here," the 58-year-old actor continued.

The screening started with a standing ovation for Lance Reddick, with Lionsgate's executive Joe Drake saying everyone should "make a loud, honoring, grateful applause for a man who was an absolutely extraordinary human being, extraordinary actor and a big part of this franchise."

Moments earlier on the carpet, Keanu Reeves spoke with THR and recalled the moment working with his co-star.

He told the outlet that "every time you were in his presence, he was such a special person, special artist, and he had a grace and dignity, and a passion for life and his craft."

The actor added that being in Reddick's "presence and getting a chance to work with him every day was special."

"John Wick 4" is dedicated in Reddick's honor. Director Chad Stahelsk said the actor was among the first people he and his creative partner David Leitch cast in the initial 2014 film when they were first-time helmers following a career in stunts.

"Lance walked in the first day in the suit, and we stood up, and we were like, 'OK, take one,' and it was good; take two, and he was like, 'What can I do better?' And we were like, 'Lance we really don't know what we're doing but please help us," Stahelski noted.

Stahelski said Reddick mentored them on the first day of shooting, and he was kind and generous, adding that he's "been the most collaborative, most positive guy I've ever met."

Lance Reddick Dead

Lance Reddick reportedly died Friday morning at the age of 60. His representative confirmed that the actor had died of natural causes at his home in Los Angeles.

The Guardian reported that he had recently done interviews for his role in "John Wick: Chapter 4." The actor chose not to attend the film's New York premiere last week.

Reddick's co-star, Wendell Pierce, paid tribute to the actor on Twitter, writing that he was a "man of great strength and grace," adding that Reddick was a talented musician "as he was as an actor."

Reddick is survived by his wife, Stephanie, and children, Yvonne Nicole, and Christopher.
