Porn star Stormy Daniels is set to change American politics forever as she could spark a historic indictment of a former president.

Donald Trump could be the first former U.S. president ever to be criminally indicted over a hush-money payoff to Daniels.

Daniels became a household name, not because of her work in the adult industry but because she slept with Trump, which may bring him down.

The adult film actress is a native of Louisiana and was born as Stephanie Gregory Clifford. Daniels started stripping at age 17 and used the stage name, Stormy Daniels. 

She reportedly chose "Stormy" because Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx had named his daughter Storm. Mötley Crüe is her favorite rock band. As for Daniels, it was because Jack Daniels claimed in an ad that it was "a Southern favorite."

Daniels started working at the Gold Club in Baton Rouge before becoming a featured entertainer with the Continental Theatrical Agency in 2000.

She started dabbling in the adult industry after meeting adult film actress Devon Michaels, who invited her for shoots with Sin City and Wicked Pictures in Los Angeles. Soon enough, she started doing more and more adult scenes before exclusively signing with Wicked Pictures.

Even before her affair with Trump, she had been appearing in more mainstream pieces of media, such as "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" (2005), "Knocked Up" (2007), and "Dirt" (2007). Following news of her affair with Trump, she also appeared in "Saturday Night Live."

Daniels, a bisexual, has married other adult film actors like Pat Myne and Glendon Crain. She also married adult film producer Michael Mosny. 

She reportedly just married her fourth husband, Barrett Blade, another adult film star, last December. Daniels has had a history of rocky relationships, but her affair with the soon-to-be president dominated the news.

Stormy Daniels and Donald Trump Affair

The sexual encounter between Donald Trump and Stormy Daniels happened during a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe in 2006. Around that time, Melania Trump had just given birth to their only son, Baron.

Daniels had previously denied the affair. However, things changed in March 2018 when she filed a lawsuit against Michael Cohen, Trump's attorney, who made the hush payment.

Daniels said she had accepted $130,000 from Cohen before the 2016 election in exchange for her silence about her sexual relationship with Trump.

The porn star sued Cohen to void the non-disclosure agreement she signed in exchange for the payment. In the following weeks, Daniels filed separate defamation suits against Cohen and Trump.

Cohen was jailed in August 2018 after he pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including bank fraud, tax fraud, and campaign finance law violations.

Some of these charges were unrelated to Daniels' hush money payment. However, according to The Hill, the lawyer pleaded guilty to one count of making an excessive campaign contribution in connection with the payment. 

He also admitted that he made the payment at Trump's direction. But the Department of Justice declined to prosecute the former president.

Daniels also admitted that she only had sex with Trump once and has called him "Tiny" in her barbs. She also said the sex was just "in one position" and described the encounter as "the worst 90 seconds of my life."

Daniels has also launched her "Make America Horny Again" tour, performing at strip clubs across the country. Now, she may be the one person to bring down a former president.

According to Business Insider, Trump has admitted to the affair, though it may have been a slip-up on the former president's part.

Trump posted on Truth Social that the "'Stormy' nonsense" was "VERY OLD & happened a long time ago." That was an inadvertent admission that made Daniels tweeting, "Thanks for just admitting that I was telling the truth about EVERYTHING, Guess I'll take my 'horse face' back to bed now, Mr. former' president.'"

With her appearances in various adult industry events and films, in some feature movies and television shows, and the sales of her "Full Disclosure" book, Celebrity Net Worth estimated that Stormy Daniels is worth around $1 million.

She has already offered to return the $130,000 hush-money payment, though Donald Trump mostly ignored it.
