Forbes Billionaire List 2023: Where Do Kim Kardashian, Rihanna Rank?
The Forbes Billionaire List 2023 shows that Rihanna and Kim Kardashian have joined Jay-Z at the summit of the billionaire ranks.
However, Kanye West, Kim's ex-husband, dropped off the list after his endorsement deal with Adidas terminated earlier this year, the NY Post noted.
Jay-Z, 53, CEO of Roc-A-Fella Records, ranked 1,217, worth $2.5 billion.
Rihanna, 35 years old and the founder of Fenty Beauty, has a net worth of $1.4 billion, placing her at number 2,002 on the list.
Kim Kardashian, 42, the creator of Skims, has a net worth of $1.2 billion, placing her at position 2,259.
Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, and Michael Jordan also made the list of highest-paid celebrities.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla, lost his title as the wealthiest individual in the world to Bernard Arnault, CEO of luxury goods conglomerate LVMH.
The 51-year-old business tycoon, originally from South Africa, made $180 billion, while the 74-year-old fashion merchant made $211 billion.
More than 70 high-end fashion houses are owned by LVMH, including Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Christian Dior, Tiffany & Co., Sephora, and even Fenty Beauty.
According to Forbes, the company increased its wealth by about $53 billion in the past year. This is the most significant annual increase of any billionaire.
Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, earned $114 billion and ranked third on the list.

Rihanna: Billionaire Status
Rihanna is one of the most successful singers, with hit tracks such as "Where Have You Been," "We Found Love," and "Take a Bow."
Her total earnings are around $140 million from her "Diamond" world tour while she was still active in the music business.
In addition to her 60 million albums, Rihanna has sold over 215 million digital songs. As a musician, she made about $22.3 million in 2016.
Meanwhile, most of Riri's fortune came from Fenty Beauty, with an estimated net worth of $1.4 billion, keeping the singer visible on Forbes Billionaire List 2023.
In its first year on the market, the cosmetics brand grossed $550 million.
Rihanna and the fashion industry behemoth LVMH have joined forces to create Fenty Beauty.
Rihanna's huge assets are an additional source of wealth that complements her wealth.
Rihanna owns a Manhattan penthouse worth $14 million, and in 2018, she allegedly spent around $7 million on a home in West London.
Rihanna also owns several luxury cars, which include Lamborghini Avedator, a Maybach 575, and a Porsche 997 Turbo.
Kim Kardashian: Billionaire Status
Most of Kim Kardashian's ten-figure fortune comes from her ownership stake in her shapewear company, Skims, which she gained through her reality TV fame, according to Forbes.
Billionaires Stephen Mandel and Ivanka Trump's brother-in-law Josh Kushner are among the investors who contributed $240 million to the company in January 2022 at a value of $3.2 billion.
Kim Kardashian made $200 million from selling 20% of her cosmetics and fragrance business, KKW Beauty, to the publicly traded company Coty in 2020.
Kardashian discontinued the company in 2021 and introduced SKKN BY KIM, a high-end nine-step cosmetics line, in June 2022.
Kardashian got divorced from artist Kanye West in early 2022. Kardashian allegedly paid $23 million to retain her Axel Vervoordt-designed Hidden Hills mansion, and they share custody of their four children.
Meanwhile, Forbes Billionaire List 2023 has 2,640 ten-figure fortunes. The combined wealth of the world's millionaires has fallen to $12.2 trillion from $12.7 trillion in March 2022, a drop of $500 billion.
