Antonio Brown Blames Tom Brady for Massive Fallout: What Happened?
Since Tom Brady's dramatic exit off the field against the Jets, Antonio Brown has been quite critical of him personally and professionally.
He went into more detail about why he and Brady had a falling out on the "Million Dollaz Worth of Game" podcast, said Sporting News.
Even though they only played in 16 games together, Brady and Brown were a successful pair. In those 16 games, Brady completed 91 of 132 targets to Brown for 1,084 yards and nine touchdowns.
Although they shared a Super Bowl victory with the Buccaneers in 2020-21, the aftermath of that victory appeared to drive a wedge between Brady and Brown, with Brady allegedly trying to pressure Brown into signing a deal that Brown's agent was opposed to.
"My agent, Ed Wasielewski, is getting called, cursed out by Tom Brady over why is he pushing back for the contract for scraps," Brown said on the podcast. "Imagine if you heard that, the same guy that brought you in and won a ring, the same agent he told you to hook up with to get the deal, is not telling me, the guy's calling him, saying, yo, cursing him out about scraps of a contract."
Antonio Brown Explains His Infamous Walk-Out
Antonio Brown claimed that he was hurt during the game against the New York Jets and that his coach, Bruce Arians, knew about it but did nothing to help him, per Sportskeeda.
"Coach, will you listen to me? You know, leading up to the game on Sunday, you know I'm hurt. Let's rest till the playoffs," he said, adding that they knew he had a torn ligament in his deltoid.
"That would drag on. I'm good. I'm out of here," Brown continued, blaming Arians.
It was predictable that Antonio Brown would point the finger at Tom Brady and his coach for his struggles during his final season with the Buccaneers.
While it may be true in some measures, he did not help his cause by damaging his reputation in the process.
Celebrity Jeweler Sues Antonio Brown, Claims Former NFL Star Owes Him $1.1 Million
Former NFL star Antonio Brown is being sued for more than $1 million by a celebrity jeweler who became known for providing diamond jewelry to celebrities like Floyd Mayweather.
Shuki International filed a new lawsuit against Brown for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week in Los Angeles.
The lawsuit says that Shuki International gave Brown several pieces of jewelry in 2022, promising that Brown would pay him $1,095,000 for them all. But Brown never paid up, according to the lawsuit obtained by TMZ Sports.
Shuki said that he gave Brown several items from his jewelry collection, including the $500K diamond fingers that bear the "Shuki International" name, a white gold necklace, a ring, and a rose gold finger piece with black diamonds.
Antonio Brown allegedly obtained some of the goods on February 24, 2022, and promised to pay the roughly $1.1 million asking price by December 1, 2022.
Jeweler Shuki will likely issue a public response to the allegations later this week, according to his lawyer Steven H. Stone.
