Oklahoma: Search for Missing Teens Leads Police to Find 7 Dead Bodies, Including a Convicted Rapist
The search for missing teens in rural Oklahoma took a tragic turn when police found seven dead bodies in a ranch. Among them are two of the missing girls.
The seven bodies were found on a property in Henryetta in Okmulgee County, Oklahoma. The two missing girls found dead were identified as 14-year-old Ivy Webster and 16-year-old Brittany Brewer, according to Okmulgee County Sheriff Eddy Rice.
The Oklahoman reported that the sheriff's office issued an amber alert for the two missing teens at around 10:29 a.m. on Monday. This launched a massive search for them, and it led authorities to the ranch where the bodies were found.
The ranch where the seven dead bodies were found is on the rural outskirts of Henryetta, a small town with a population of about 5,600 people.
Two Missing Teens Seen Travelling With Oklahoma Man Convicted of Rape
The two girls were believed to be with a man named Jesse McFadden, 39, who was a convicted rapist and sex offender. He was supposed to show up at the Muskogee County District Court on Monday for a jury trial on one count of soliciting sexual conduct with a minor, as well as one count of possession of child pornography.
However, just like the girls, McFadden was also found dead on the ranch. As for the other bodies, police are yet to publicly announce their identities.
The two girls were reportedly seen traveling with Jesse McFadden before their bodies were found. The Oklahoma man was part of the state's sex offender registry, per the Associated Press, with official state records showing that he was convicted of first-degree rape in 2003 before getting his release in October 2020.
"Brittany was an outgoing person. She was actually selected to be Miss Henryetta ... coming up in July for this Miss National Miss pageant in Tulsa. And now she ain't gonna make it because she's dead. She's gone," Brittany Brewer's father, Nathan Brewer, said.
Meanwhile, Henryetta Public Schools released a statement, grieving the loss of the two missing teens. It stated that while school would still be in session, "mental health professionals and clergy would be on hand to help counsel grieving students." They also stated that they would understand if families want to keep their children home from school.
Four Other Dead Bodies in Oklahoma Ranch Might Be Jesse McFadden's Family Members
Sheriff Rice did not reveal much about the four other dead bodies, saying, "Nobody [else] was reported missing. There were other family members related to the one family."
However, according to KJRH reporter Erin Christy, the other four people found dead may be Jesse McFadden's own family members. The reporter stated that the two girls had a sleepover with Tiffany McFadden, the stepdaughter of the convicted rapist.
"They were supposed to go swimming on a ranch in McAlester but never showed. No one has heard Ivy, Brittany, Tiffany, Tiffany's two brothers, Jesse, or his wife, Holly," said the reporter in a Facebook post. "I spoke to Ivy's mother who said Ivy's Life 360, a phone tracking service, was turned off. She was unaware of McFadden's criminal history. She says it is extremely unlike her to not respond to text messages or calls."
