The insider also joked that Cruise's 5'7" height could make him a "comfortable cushion to fall on" for the 5'2" singer.

During Saturday night's Latin Women in Music gala, Shakira accepted her award as Billboard's first "Woman of the Year" by highlighting women's strength and taking a shot at her ex-partner, Gerard Pique.

"This has been a year of seismic change in my life where I've felt more than ever and very personally what it is to be a woman. And what it means," she stated in Spanish, as translated by Billboard.

She declared that women are "stronger than we think, braver than we believed, more independent than we were taught to be."

However, Shakira also acknowledged that every woman, at some point in her life, had "forgotten herself" while seeking the attention and love of someone else, which she admitted had happened to her several times.

"But there comes a time in every woman's life where she no longer depends on someone else to love and accept herself just as she is," Shakira continued. "It is a time when the search for oneself replaces the search for someone else."

Shakira added, "It is a time when the desire to be perfect is replaced by the desire to be authentic, and when finding someone who is faithful is less important than being faithful to ourselves."
