Jamie Foxx's Daughter Slams Fake News on Health Fears
Jamie Foxx's daughter, Corinne Foxx, has provided an update on her father's health.
According to Fox News, Corinne wrote on her Instagram story Friday that her father has been "out of the hospital for weeks" and is "recuperating,"
She also said the 55-year-old actor has been "playing pickleball" before thanking everyone who supported her family. Foxx had experienced a "medical complication" in April, as previously announced by Corinne on Instagram.
She has since deleted that post. Foxx's health remains unknown as his family has yet to disclose his medical issue. In her update on her father's health, Corinne also said they have an "exciting work announcement" next week.
However, Jamie Foxx's daughter noted that it was "sad to see how the media runs wild" after some reports surfaced and made claims about his father's health.
Several media outlets reported that Foxx's loved ones remain "hopeful" that he will recover but are also "preparing for the worst."

Nick Cannon Fills In for Jamie Foxx in 'Beat Shazam' Season 6
Nick Cannon has been announced as the host of the upcoming sixth season of "Beat Shazam," replacing Jamie Foxx, according to a statement by Fox Entertainment earlier this month.
Fox has hosted the music-focused game show since 2017, while his daughter Corinne Foxx joined as the program's DJ in its second season. Kelly Osbourne will temporarily replace Corinne on the show.
Last week, Foxx broke his silence by posting on his social media and thanked his fans for their support. He also thanked Cannon for filling in for him on the "Beat Shazam" show.
While the actor is still in the hospital, Foxx's castmates and the crew of the Netflix film, "Back in Action," have continued working on the movie without him.
They have reportedly used a stand-in for several scenes where Foxx was supposed to appear. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie, which also featured Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close, is on track to wrap up as scheduled.
Jamie Foxx Suffers Medical Scare
Jamie Foxx was filming the movie "Back in Action" in Atlanta, Georgia, when he was hospitalized last April 11 after a health scare. He was reportedly not on the film set during that health-related incident and was not rushed to the hospital by an emergency vehicle.
However, the actor was still in the medical facility a week later. A source with knowledge of the actor's situation previously told CNN that "they are running tests and still trying to figure out what exactly happened."
Another source told PEOPLE at the time that Foxx was steadily improving and continued to recover inside the hospital. Corinne Foxx earlier said that "due to quick action and great care," her father was "already on his way to recovery."
While his medical condition was not made public, many fans have speculated that Jamie Foxx suffered a stroke due to stress.
