Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and former news anchor Lauren Sanchez are reportedly engaged. The two were known to have an affair while they were still married.

Bezos, once the wealthiest man in the world, popped the question while they were sailing around Europe on his new $500 million superyacht. According to TMZ, Sanchez said, "Yes."

Pictures of the newly-engaged couple show the soon-to-be Mrs. Bezos wearing a ring on her finger, which has a massive diamond, on Sunday. It is still not known how much Bezos paid for the engagement ring.

However, TMZ reported that it might have just been a drop in the bucket for the multi-billionaire. Bezos and Sanchez's affair was reportedly exposed during his messy divorce hearing.

After Bezos got divorced from his wife of 25 years, MacKenzie Bezos, the Amazon founder, and Sanchez have been seen together frequently and were virtually inseparable. The couple publicly came out about their relationship soon after Bezos' divorce.

Jeff Bezos' Superyacht Has a Figurehead of Lauren Sanchez

Jeff Bezos honored Lauren Sanchez with a massive sculpture that acts as the figurehead of his $500 million superyacht.

Page Six reported that the wooden sculpture placed in the yacht's prow bears a striking resemblance to the former "The View" guest host and TV personality.

The yacht itself is known as Koru, which Bezos named himself. It can accommodate up to 18 guests and is manned by a crew of 40 people. It boasts three decks, three masts, and a swimming pool.

The Koru also requires a 250-foot support vessel, which houses a helicopter landing pad, for Bezos and his guests.

The Blue Origin founder and his now-fiancée have been seen together in the luxury yacht, with the couple spending New Year's Day aboard it. The couple has already entertained many celebrity guests within the 417-foot luxury superyacht.

Lauren Sanchez Receives Marital Home From Ex-Husband After Divorce

While they were still married to their respective spouses, Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos had an n eight-month-long affair. 

They managed to hide it successfully, reportedly often sneaking around together before having their extra-marital affair exposed in April 2019, which led to their respective divorces.

A couple of years before that affair got out, Sanchez and her former husband, top talent agent Patrick Whitesell, bought a sprawling 7,000-square-foot Mercer Island home in 2017 for $6.2 million, according to the New York Post.

Whitesell and Sanchez's divorce was finalized in October 2019, though Whitesell transferred the house to her in May 2020. Sources noted that this was the same home that Sanchez would often travel to in order to see Jeff Bezos.

"They would both sneak around the area - they had the convenience of location," a source with knowledge of what happened during their affair said.

Sanchez and Whitesell were married for nearly 15 years.
