The Harris County District Attorney's Office has confirmed that a grand jury in Texas has formally indicted Patrick Xavier Clark, 33, TakeOff's suspected shooter.

Migo's TakeOff, 28, tragically lost his life on November 1, while his fellow group member Quavo escaped unharmed.

The breakthrough in the investigation came after a thorough examination of surveillance footage captured outside the bowling alley where the incident occurred.

It was revealed that Clark was the sole individual whose body alignment matched the trajectory of the fatal shot that struck TakeOff before he collapsed, according to Rolling Stone.

Additionally, Clark's fingerprints were found at the crime scene, as he was holding a wine bottle at the time of the tragic event.

Clark was swiftly arrested and charged with murder on the night of TakeOff's murder. However, he later posted a $1 million bond and was released in January. According to Clark's defense attorneys, the indictment was an expected outcome due to the low standard of proof required during this stage of the legal process.

In a statement, Clark's lawyer emphasized the distinction between the standard of proof needed for an indictment and the much higher standard of proof, "guilt beyond a reasonable doubt," presented before a jury during the trial.

The defense team expressed confidence that when presented with all the evidence and allowed to cross-examine the state's witnesses, the jury would ultimately deliver a verdict of not guilty.

TakeOff Suspected Shooter, Patrick Xavier Clark's Arrest

Patrick Xavier Clark found himself in police custody in 2022 as a suspect in the murder case that unfolded outside a venue. An escalating altercation sparked the tragic event during a dice game, which eventually escalated into a violent confrontation involving gunfire, per The US Sun.

Law enforcement authorities revealed that CCTV footage captured Clark, TakeOff suspected shooter, brandishing a firearm and discharging multiple rounds.

Notably, at the time of the incident, he was seen holding a bottle of wine. In connection with the shooting, another individual, Cameron Joshua, has also been arrested on weapons-related charges, accused of being the second shooter targeting Takeoff.

Following the incident, Clark reportedly fled to a nearby concert hall where he allegedly abandoned the wine bottle, subsequently found to bear his fingerprints.

It wasn't until a month later that law enforcement apprehended Clark during a routine traffic stop. Although armed at the time of the murder, it is essential to note that the weapon used in the crime was not in his possession.

While Clark's defense attorneys argued that he intended to go on a vacation, authorities suspect he intended to flee to Mexico. Notably, Quavo, Takeoff's uncle and fellow member of the Migos music group, was also present at the scene when the tragic incident occurred.

TakeOff's Murder

Tragedy struck the music industry as the life of Takeoff, a prominent member of the hip-hop trio Migos, was abruptly cut short outside a bowling alley. The rapper, known by his birth name Kirsnick Khari Ball, was declared dead at the scene, leaving a void in the music world.

Takeoff, described as the "most lowkey member" of Migos, hailed from suburban Atlanta, where he grew up alongside his uncle Quavo and cousin Offset, the other two group members. The trio shared a close bond, with Takeoff's mother playing a significant role in raising them.

While Quavo and Offset ventured into solo projects, Takeoff remained focused on his collaborative work with Migos.

Following the shooting, Houston Police Chief Troy Finner revealed that numerous calls flooded in, all expressing admiration for Takeoff as a talented artist and an exceptional individual. The outpouring of support highlighted his impact on fans and the industry alike.

In November, the Harris County Medical Examiner unveiled the details surrounding Takeoff's cause of death. The rapper succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds to the head, torso, and arm, the penetrating nature of which led to his tragic demise.
