DaniLeigh's Arrest
During the arrest incident involving singer DaniLeigh, new details emerged from the affidavit shedding light on the events leading up to her detainment.
An officer detected a strong scent of alcohol emanating from the vehicle, according to the arrest affidavit. DaniLeigh reportedly displayed sluggish motor skills and denied involvement in a collision, Billboard noted.
Following these observations, the driver was subjected to a field sobriety test, which she purportedly failed to meet the required standard. Subsequently, she was taken into custody. The affidavit further states that two breathalyzer tests were administered to the driver.
The recorded results indicated breath alcohol levels of 0.145 and 0.148 for the first and second samples, respectively. It's worth noting that in Florida, a blood alcohol concentration of at least 0.08 is considered impaired for driving purposes.
Meanwhile, the moped rider involved in the incident was transported to a hospital for medical treatment.
The police report specifies that the injuries sustained by the moped driver are non-life-threatening and include a kidney laceration and a spinal fracture. Additionally, the report states that the moped itself incurred significant damage during the collision.
According to the Miami-Dade Corrections & Rehabilitation records, DaniLeigh was arrested and detained at 8:16 am, and her time in custody lasted until 11:45 am, when she was released on a bond amounting to $9,500, per PEOPLE.
