Donald Trump Classified Documents Case: Here Are the Full Details of His Not Guilty Plea
The Donald Trump classified documents case finally had its first hearing in Miami after the ex-POTUS was indicted on 37 counts. He pleaded "not guilty" to all of them as he maintained his innocence.
The BBC noted that while all eyes were on Trump back in Miami, he is expected to travel back to his country club in Bedminster, New Jersey soon after and address his supporters there. The country club and golf course is now setting up the event for the current Republican frontrunner and the first criminally-indicted president.
Trump supporters flocked to Miami to show their support, with the former president thanking them on Truth Social for showing up. Security was ramped up because of their presence, as violent rhetoric from Trump allies has been urging supporters to take violent actions, much like what happened during the January 6 Capitol insurrection.
During his court appearance, Donald Trump looked rather somber and subdued and did not project his usual firebrand self. As promised by his lawyers, they entered "not guilty" pleas for all 37 counts. His co-defendant and close aide, Walt Nauta, who was charged with six criminal counts, was seen sitting beside him.
After the hearing, Trump's lawyers repeated claims that the charges against him were all "criminally motivated," with Alina Habba saying, "We are at a turning point in our nation's history, the targeting prosecution of a leading political opponent is the type of thing you see in dictatorships like Cuba and Venezuela."
Evidence showed Trump knew that the documents were classified, that he was not allowed to handle them anymore, and that his actions were illegal.

The special counsel was reportedly giving Trump the death stare throughout the hearing on Tuesday, even as Trump was exiting the courthouse. He reportedly cut an intimidating figure as the proceedings happened.
As for the defendant, Trump was seen just staring at reporters every now and then during the hearing, all the while the special counsel was looking at him menacingly.
Hillary Clinton Reacts to 2nd Donald Trump Indictment
Meanwhile, Trump's 2016 rival, former First Lady Hillary Clinton, appeared as a guest for the Pod Save America podcast and finally reacted to her adversary's legal troubles.
The podcast's special episode was done in front of a live audience in New York, with other special guests including New York AG Letitia James and comedian Roy Wood Jr. However, the big headline was Clinton, who received thunderous applause when she was introduced.
Host Jon Lovett pointed out that the Republicans kept on pointing to the Clinton Emails case, which even a Republican investigation found no wrongdoing of, as they tried to prove Trump's innocence. "When in doubt," Clinton replied, with the crowd erupting into laughter.
The former Secretary of State finally reacted to the indictment when asked by host Jon Favreau. "You know, Jon, I have a lot of reactions to it, and I think the best reaction publicly is, you know, let's see it unfold and see what happens," she responded.
She then added, "I do think it's odd, let's just say, to the point of being absurd, how that is their only response," as Republicans kept bringing up her email scandal as a predictable response to any scandal Trump gets embroiled in.
"It is so profoundly disturbing how this could have been the break. This could've been the opportunity to say, you know, thank you so much for everything you've done for us, we really appreciate it, but this is kind of serious, so we're not going to continue to defend you. But no, they're all in again. The psychology of this is so hard for me to fully grasp," she said.
