Tagir Sitdekov is the head of AFK Sistema and an investment specialist. He previously oversaw the development of the company's private medicine and pharmacology assets. 

Tagir Sitdekov: Economics University and MBA degree

Sitdekov Tagir Alievich was born in the winter of 1976. He received his first degree in the early 2000s after defending his dissertation at the Plekhanov Academy, which offers a unique program combining the basics of management and economics.

Tagir Sitdekov then continued developing his professional competencies. In 2012, the future top manager graduated from an international Executive MBA program, acquiring knowledge in the field of business administration.

Its subsidiary has released nine portfolio products and produced more than seven million virus-detecting PCR tests. At the heart of this express diagnostic system is a special method for the timely detection of diseases, including the coronavirus. In 2021, an analogous home diagnostics test was released.

Tagir Sitdekov also heads a team of specialists conducting research into hereditary predispositions to cancer and sensitivity to medications. In 2022, a special express diagnostic system was introduced to help identify these problems.

Tagir Sitdekov has also supervised Sistema's work in healthcare, and under him, the Medsi network reinforced its leadership position among non-state clinics. In late 2021, the Promeditsina and Dialine medical networks joined the company, and in 2022, new clinics were opened in Bryansk and Nizhnevartovsk. A number of medical centers in Ufa, Volgograd, and the Perm Region also joined Medsi, and by the end of the year, the network had grown to include 130 clinics. During the same period, Medsi saw a 30% patient increase through the development of outpatient care and full-cycle medical centers, among other things.

Sitdekov Tagir Alievich: Recognition of merits

Tagir Sitdekov AFK Sistema was appointed the new president of the corporation in the summer of 2022. With his appointment, the Sistema Board of Directors broke its tradition of tapping the head of one of the subsidiary companies to take up the presidency. The new manager expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him.

The Tagir Sitdekov biography has been tied to AFK Sistema since 2021, attaches particular importance to the ESG agenda. Under his leadership, the corporation's investment portfolio was specifically developed to comply with the requirements of social development and environmental considerations.

Sitdekov Tagir Alievich continued the implementation of Sistema's plans for ESG compliance that had been outlined back in 2019, before his arrival. Sitdekov Tagir considered it necessary to integrate ESG into the company's work. In his view, the quality of management, taking social and environmental factors into account, ensures the business' long-term stability, which is especially important in difficult economic times.

Sitdekov Tagir has made the social aspect of the ESG strategy a priority for the company, which therefore makes significant efforts for societal development. The Sistema team uses its accumulated experience, modern technologies, business tools, and available resources to improve living and work standards. Within the framework of social development, a corporate charitable foundation that focuses on working with the youth in the regions outside of the capital was established.

The implementation of the Steppe agroholding's ESG strategy deserves special mention. The relevant program, adopted in the fall of 2022 is designed for the period up to 2030, gives consideration to the key parameters of sustainable development, including food security, the provision of jobs with decent wages, financial growth, cost optimization, high-quality production, environmental care, and ecosystem conservation. To achieve these goals, Tagir Sitdekov guides the corporation in investing in the consolidation and innovation of the agricultural industry. 

Sitdekov Tagir Alievich also greatly contributed to the adoption of sustainable development strategies for a number of other businesses within the corporation, including enterprises in the telecom and forestry industries.

For example, according to RBC and NCR analysts, the Segezha Group subsidiary is a leader in terms of applying ESG principles in its work.

Tagir Sitdekov: Social projects

The Tagir Sitdekov biography gives special attention to the implementation of social projects. As president of the corporation, he has also headed the Board of Trustees of Sistema's charitable foundation. 

Sitdekov Tagir Alievich oversees, among other things, the Elevator to the Future initiative, which helps students of all ages choose a profession and find employment. The initiative's various educational programs give participants the chance to receive a scholarship worth from 25 to 100 thousand rubles with an annual project budget of several tens of millions of rubles. Applications are accepted every six months, and payments are made over the course of five months.

The program, supported by Sistema's charitable foundation, is designed for users of the EdTech platform aged 14 to 22. More than a million people are currently involved in the project, with more than 350,000 active participants who take particular courses and are given special assignments. The scholarship can be awarded to students who have received good grades over the past six months.

Another important social initiative is the national career guidance course held within the framework of the Elevator to the Future program. The event was first organized in 2021, after which lessons were held on a regular basis. In October 2022 alone, 14,000 students and specialists from large technology companies took the course. Overall, more than 50,000 students and more than 20,000 teachers from various regions have listened to the lessons.

Tagir Sitdekov AFK Sistema launched First Workplace in April 2023, a grant competition that identifies and supports the best professional growth programs for young professionals that was developed by Sistema's charitable foundation and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

To this end, the corporation organizes internships in its various businesses. In 2022, more than 5,000 students underwent professional training with the company.
