Lionel Messi's Inter Miami unveiling event could be bigger than many think, as several superstars might be performing, including Shakira and Bad Bunny. Also possibly performing is Shakira's compatriot, Colombian singer-songwriter Maluma.

Inter Miami has hinted that there will be some "exciting entertainment" during the Sunday unveiling event, with some of Latin America's biggest artists celebrating the arrival of the Argentinian soccer megastar.

According to GOAL, Shakira might perform as she lives in Miami now, and she and Messi actually go back to his days with FC Barcelona, as he was teammates with Shakira's now-estranged ex, Gerard Pique. Nonetheless, the club is looking to make a massive music event out of unveiling just one player.

However, after the music extravaganza of the Messi unveiling, it will be back to work for the Argentina team captain as he finally wears Inter Miami Pink in his debut game against Cruz Azul on July 21.

Lionel Messi Already in the US Ahead of Inter Miami Unveiling

"La Pulga" landed in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday to prepare for the unveiling event. He was seen with his wife, Antonella, and their children.

ESPN noted that the event has been called "The Unveil," and it is scheduled for Sunday, 6 pm ET, at the team's home stadium, the DRV PNK Stadium. Fans with Inter Miami season ticket holders will receive free admission.

The Argentine legend will have his work cut out for him, though, as Miami is currently one of the worst teams in Major League Soccer, having not won anything in its last 10 games. However, Lionel Messi says he is up to the challenge during an interview with the Argentina TV show, "Llave a la Eternidad."

"My mentality and my head are not going to change and I am going to try, wherever I have to be, give my best for myself and my new club, continue to perform at the highest level," said Argentina's legendary "flea."

He also talked about his family moving to the US, saying, "We are happy with the decision we made. Prepared and eager to face the new challenge, the new change."

Lionel Messi Mania Engulfs Miami Ahead of Inter Miami Unveiling

As Messi arrives in the US, however, Miami and the nearby areas are experiencing Messi Mania as establishments in and around the city are celebrating the Argentinian's arrival and joining the hometown team.

Miami is one of the most Latino-heavy cities in the US, and with the Argentinian superstar arriving, murals with his face wearing Inter Miami pink have been found all over the city. Some establishments, such as a hamburger restaurant, even named a menu item after him.

Miami is also home to 100,000 Argentinians, and one of them is restaurant owner Maximiliano Alvarez, who told the Associated Press, "I love that he's in Miami because my children will be able to experience him like I experienced (Diego) Maradona."

He added that Messi coming to Miami made him nostalgic but he also fears it might also mean he is retiring.
