They emphasized their commitment to co-parenting their child with love and kindness.

Reese Witherspoon Divorce from Jim Toth

The divorce documents filed in Nashville, Tennessee, revealed that Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth had a prenuptial agreement in place since March 2011, The Daily Mail noted.

Reese confirmed the validity of the contract, stating that it adequately covered their assets and debts.

As part of the divorce process in Davidson County, both Reese, and Jim will be required to take mandatory parenting classes and present a certificate of completion to the court within 60 days.

The divorce filing came a week after the couple announced their split on social media, just two days before their 12th wedding anniversary.

Recent reports suggest that Jim Toth has moved on from the relationship and was seen in Costa Rica with a new girlfriend.

Insiders have provided some insight into the reasons behind the divorce, indicating that the two have different personalities and interests.

Reese is described as "headstrong and focused," while Jim is said to be "more laid-back."

Reese Witherspoon has been actively involved in various projects in Nashville, spending significant time in the city in 2022.

She worked on producing the Apple TV music competition show, "My Kind of Country," and also successfully flipped a local house, selling it for nearly twice the price she paid for it.

Through her company, Hello Sunshine, she produced the Amazon series "Daisy Jones & the Six."

Apart from her production ventures, Reese has been busy filming season three of "The Morning Show," where she stars alongside Jennifer Aniston.

Meanwhile, her ex-husband, Jim Toth, has remained engaged in the tech industry. He is a member of the board of directors at Flowcode, a tech company.

Before that, he briefly worked at the now-defunct streaming platform, Quibi.

Reese Witherspoon on How She First Met Jim Toth

Reese Witherspoon has shared stories about how she first met Jim Toth, and it seems like their connection was unexpected and genuine.

According to her account, they met at a friend's house, and she was trying to handle an uncomfortable situation with a drunk person who was bothering her, per StyleCaster.

At that moment, Jim came to her rescue and apologized for his friend's behavior, explaining that he had just gone through a breakup.

Witherspoon described Jim as a good friend who was kind and considerate, which seems to have left a positive impression on her.

Their encounter was unexpected and happened "out of the blue," but it led to them getting to know each other better.

As they got closer, Jim expressed his intentions to be a good partner and take care of her.

This was a stark contrast to her previous experiences, particularly her nine-year marriage, and subsequent divorce with Ryan Philippe, with whom she starred in the movie "Cruel Intentions."
