Fulton County DA Fani Willis has finally released the indictment against Donald Trump over election meddling in Georgia, and many of his allies have been indicted as well. The sprawling RICO case contains 41 charges for Trump and his associates.

This will be the fourth time that Trump has been indicted, this time in Georgia, where Willis and her team have spent months investigating the former president's attempts to overturn his loss against Joe Biden in 2020.

The 97-page indictment includes several key Trump administration officials and attorneys, including former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, Trump Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark, and Trump lawyers Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Sidney Powell, Jenna Ellis, and Kenneth Chesebro.

Also indicted are other Georgia Republican officials and those falsely appointed to be fake electors that would have helped Trump overturn the election and cause a constitutional crisis. According to The Independent, these include former Georgia Republican Party chairman David Shafer, state Senator Shawn Still, and former Coffee County Republican Party chief Cathy Latham. It was Shafer who presided over the meeting of the fake electors in Georgia.

Also charged is Trevian Kutti, who helped pressure election worker Ruby Freeman to falsely admit that she manipulated election results in favor of Biden. Freeman was subjected to "relentless harassment and abuse" by Kutti and other Trump allies.

According to the Associated Press, DA Willis is allowing all 19 defendants, including Trump himself, to voluntarily surrender by noon on August 25. She also announced that she plans to ask for a trial date to happen within six months.

The Georgia investigation is different from Special Counsel Jack Smith's federal investigation into Trump's election interference as it specifically looks into Trump trying to influence the outcome of the 2020 election in the state with phone calls to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and other state election officials.

What Are the Charges Vs. Donald Trump and His 18 Co-Defendants?

According to the filing, Trump and his allies have been traveling to the state to harass an election worker. It stated that his lawyers went there to "intimidate her, and solicit her to falsely confess to election crimes that she did not commit."

Trump and his allies have also been accused of fraudulently trying to "persuade state officials, the US Department of Justice, and Vice President Mike Pence to reject lawful votes and select a slate of electors loyal to the former president despite Joe Biden's victory in the state."

In addition, Trump and his allies also "corruptly conspired" to illegally access voting machines in the state. This includes illegally removing some of these machines, "including ballot images, voting equipment software, and personal voter information." The Trump allies then "distributed to other members of the enterprise, including members in other states."

Fulton County DA Fani Willis Says She Wants To Prosecute All 19 Defendants Together in the RICO Case

During a news conference on Monday night, CNN asked Fani Willis if she will try the defendants together, to which she answered, "Yes."

The Fulton County DA did not elaborate any further but confirmed that all 19 people named in the indictment, including Trump, have been "charged with one count of "violating Georgia's Racketeer, Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act through participation in a criminal enterprise in Fulton County, Georgia."
