Taylor Swift Concert: Viral Security Guard Asking Fans to Take Photos of Him Gets Fired
Calvin Denker, the viral security guard who gained online fame for singing along to "Cruel Summer" during a Taylor Swift concert, revealed that he was dismissed after requesting fans to send him pictures of himself on duty with the pop superstar on stage, Entertainment Weekly reports.
Denker shared his experience in a TikTok video last week, explaining that he faced repercussions for a separate video he posted in June.

In that video, which went viral, he admitted to distributing notes to concert attendees, asking them to share any photos they captured of him alongside Taylor Swift.
The security company he worked for, Best Crowd Management, had a policy against staff taking photos with performers.
In his latest TikTok video, Denker expressed his confusion over his dismissal. He highlighted that his actions were similar to those at other concerts, where staff and fans often exchange photos.
He clarified that all the photos he received were taken from behind the barricade, like any other fan's photo, and he never used his own phone during the event.
Denker emphasized prioritizing ensuring Taylor Swift's safety and creating a positive experience for fans. He affirmed that throughout the concert, he was dedicated to fulfilling his role as a security guard.

Taylor Swift Concert's Viral Security Guard Fired Few Days After First TikTok Video
The viral security guard said his employment with Best Crowd Management ended a few days after his initial TikTok post gained attention.
Denker offered to delete the video, but the response from the company's HR representative was delayed by over a month, per Variety.
During this time, Denker worked at an Ed Sheeran concert and was met with understanding from some managers who gave him a second chance.
"A couple of managers talked to me just to make sure that I wouldn't be making any videos, but a lot of them were really cool and willing to give me a second chance," Decker said.
However, after completing a seven-hour shift, HR confronted Denker and officially terminated.
Notably, the company assigned him additional shifts after the Taylor Swift incident without addressing the matter further.
Despite losing his job, Denker conveyed a positive outlook to his followers, advising against sending negativity toward his former employer.
He emphasized that he held no resentment and had no grudges against the company.
Swiftie Who Fails To Secure Taylor Swift Concert Ticket Secures a Job as Event Security Guard
In a creative endeavor to witness Taylor Swift concert in Nashville, Davis Perrigo, a devoted fan based in the same city, took an unconventional approach.
Unable to secure tickets to the Eras tour, Perrigo decided to become a stadium security guard at the event, according to The Independent.
The distinctive move brought him unexpected attention as he stood in front of the Nissan Stadium stage during the concert, passionately singing along to Swift's hits, including "I Knew You Were Trouble."
His spirited performance was captured by fellow fans and swiftly went viral online.
Perrigo explained that working as a security guard stemmed from his father's previous experience in the field.
Filling out an online form was the simple process that landed him the job at the stadium.
While on duty, however, Perrigo could not document the event due to work restrictions on phone usage.
Despite his inability to capture the moment himself, fans at the Taylor Swift concert took notice of Perrigo's infectious enthusiasm.
TikTok users praised his dedication to Swift's music, highlighting his adorable presence and singing along to the tunes.
