Comedian Kevin Hart discovered the consequences of challenging a former NFL running back Stevan Ridley to a foot race, particularly when you're a 44-year-old. The outcome left Hart temporarily wheelchair-bound, according to CBS Sports.

Hart took to Instagram to share a video outlining his injury.

The friendly dispute between Hart and Ridley over their racing abilities led to settling it with a 40-yard dash. The result wasn't favorable for the widely recognized comedian.

In his explanation, Hart revealed he had torn multiple muscles in his abdomen, providing a vivid account of the injuries sustained.

He humorously emphasized that the incident was a harsh reminder that his youthful days were behind him.

"We get out there, we go run the 40-yard dash," Hart said. "40-yard dash. Guys, I blew all my s--t. Tore my lower abdomen, my abductors. I don't even know what that is, but I tore them. I tore those, too. I can't walk. Sit my ass down. This is 44."

Kevin Hart's candid response to his injury resonated with many, as he humorously addressed the reality of aging, per Sports Illustrated.

He remarked, "Ladies and gentlemen, the age of 40 is real. It's not a game; respect that age. Respect that age or that age will make you respect it. I was just forced to respect it."

"I tried to go out there and do some young man stuff, and I was told to sit down," he quipped.

In a light-hearted response to Hart's post, Ridley pointed out the exceptional nature of athletes like Tom Brady, who can maintain their performance even after reaching 40.

Ridley commented, "I saw @TomBrady do it at your age, so I figured you had the juice too big, bro! My bad @KevinHart4Real! Heal up and keep making us all laugh!"

Kevin Hart Suffered Major Back Injuries in 2019

Kevin Hart experienced significant back injuries following a car accident in 2019.

The incident occurred in Calabasas, California, as documented in a California Highway Patrol incident report obtained by CNN.

During the crash, Kevin Hart and two others were in the vehicle. Hart and the driver, Jared Black, sustained what the report called "major back injuries." Both individuals were promptly transported to nearby hospitals for medical care.

The report outlined that the accident occurred while Black was driving Hart's 1970 Plymouth Barracuda.

Unfortunately, Black lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and roll down an embankment.

Of the three occupants, two became trapped within the vehicle. In response, Hart left the scene to seek medical attention at his nearby residence.

Patrol officers determined that alcohol wasn't a factor in the collision. As outlined in the report, the third occupant did not suffer any substantial injuries.
