Argentina legend Lionel Messi recently talked about his future after retirement as the World Cup winner is spending what may be the twilight of his career at Inter Miami.

Messi's grueling schedule playing not just for Inter Miami, but also for Argentina, has taken its toll on Messi as he has already missed a few games for both teams. His availability for the US Open Cup final is also in doubt.

According to 90 Minutes, Messi recently sat down for an interview with Migue Granados and talked about what his future plans are, as well as what he thinks of his job. "Yes, it is a job," he said in the interview. "I am lucky to do a job that I love. Although I have responsibilities and a goal, it is still something that I enjoy doing. What am I going to do next? I don't know. I would like to be a sporting director, be with the kids, teach."

During a previous interview, Messi stated that he wanted to become a sporting director when he retires. However, it seems that he does not want to become a coach, but conceded, "But [Zinedine] Zidane said exactly that and after that, he became a coach and won the Champions League three times."

As for what will happen in the next four years, Messi stated, "I haven't thought about it yet, it's far away. I do think about the Copa America, I want to do well. It's just being played here in the United States."

La Pulga added, "It's going to be nice, we've already had the [Copa America] Centenario that was also played here [in 2016]. Although we lost the final, the process was very nice. Later, you'll see how I feel."

Currently, Messi is focusing in Inter Miami as he is contracted to play for the MLS club until the end of 2025. He turned down stints at Al Hilal, which offered him a larger amount of money, as well as a return to his original club, FC Barcelona.

Lionel Messi Admits He Wants a Daughter

During that same interview, Lionel Messi also talked about his family, admitting that his move to Miami has had a positive impact on his family life as he got to spend more time with his three sons and wife Antonela Roccuzzo, according to Geo News.

"We'd like to have a baby again," he told his interviewer. "We're not searching, but we'll see if a baby girl arrives."

Paris Saint-Germaine Chairman Slams Lionel Messi

In that interview with Migue Granados on Olga, Messi admitted he was not happy during his time at Paris Saint-Germaine and was disappointed with his treatment in Paris after the World Cup.

"It was understandable," Messi said. "We were in a situation where we [Argentina] were world champions and it was our fault that they [France] weren't champions once again."

However, according to The Daily Mail, Paris Saint-Germain chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi was not happy with the former PSG player's words and hit back at the Argentina star, saying, "As everyone saw, because we even published a video, we celebrated Messi in training, and we also celebrated him in private."

The PSG official then added, "But with respect, we are a French club. It was of course sensitive to celebrate at the stadium. We must respect the country he defeated, his teammates on the France team, and our supporters, too"
