Rangers Vs. Astros: Texas Dominant During ALCS 2023
While the Houston Astros struggled at home and head on the road, their opponents, the Rangers, are riding a huge wave of momentum as they head to Arlington. As the MLB official website noted, the Rangers are "off to one of the best starts in postseason history."
The Arlington-based team has been so dominant that they have trailed at the end of only one full inning during the entire series, and it has been full of heroics from its players all throughout. These include Evan Carter's Game 1-saving catch.

As the two teams headed to Game 3 of the all-Texas ALCS, the Rangers stayed undefeated with a 5-4 win over the Astros. In particular, they pounced on the Astros as soon as starter Framber Valdez took to the field. The left-hander's first two pitches were hit by Rangers starters Marcus Semien and Corey Seager, with both hits resulting in singles.
The Dominican pitcher continued his woes as Valdez allowed Robbie Grossman to reach, which then allowed Semien to score. Afterward, the Rangers continued dominating the Astros in their own home field as three more batters scored one single each at the top of the First Inning. Texas would never relinquish its lead soon after.
Yordan Alvarez Heroics Not Enough for Astros to Win Vs. Rangers at Home
Cuban designated hitter Yordan Alvarez has been a very reliable source of home runs for the Houston Astros throughout the regular season. However, try as he might to carry his team, the Cuban just cannot overcome the Rangers' continued dominance during the series.
He did shine on Game 2, accounting for three of Houston's four runs. These included two massive home runs but his efforts weren't enough to overcome the Texas Rangers, which continue to dominate thanks to the heroics of pitcher Nathan Eovaldi who scattered five hits across six innings and made sure that the Astros could not catch up. Jonah Heim capped things off with a solo homer during the third inning.
