Cardi B, the 31-year-old rapper, took to Instagram Live over the weekend to set the record straight about her relationship status, according to PEOPLE.

She candidly revealed, "I've been single for a minute now," expressing a desire for a fresh start in the coming year.

The disclosure follows recent rumors surrounding her relationship with Offset.

During the live stream, Cardi B acknowledged her difficulty in sharing this aspect of her life but felt that the time was right.

"But I have been afraid... Not afraid; I just don't know how to tell the world. But I feel like today has been, like, a sign," said the rapper.

She expressed excitement for a new beginning and a curiosity about a different life.

The revelation comes after both Cardi B and Offset attended the TikTok In the Mix music festival in Mesa, Arizona, on Sunday night.

Despite being at the same event, the couple was not photographed together.

Cardi B also addressed her recent social media activity, admitting that there were "clues" about her relationship status.

"I don't know if you guys have been getting clues from me, from my Lives, or from my Stories, when I put some certain music, or find my unfollowings," said Cardi B during the Live.

Speculation intensified last week when Cardi B and Offset unfollowed each other on Instagram, sparking rumors of a potential breakup, Billboard reports.

Cardi B added to the speculation with cryptic posts about outgrowing relationships, stating, "You know when you just outgrow relationships" and followed by "I'm tired of protecting people's feelings...I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST!"

It is worth noting that Cardi B filed for divorce in 2020 but later reconciled.

Offset, previously involved in a cheating scandal, publicly apologized, and the couple worked on rebuilding trust.

Offset emphasized the importance of communication in their relationship in an interview in October, urging dedication and openness.

"We're both public figures, constantly in the public eye. It's time to stop being selfish," said Offset, emphasizing that he is committed to Cardi B through marriage, so he dedicates himself to her.

He also advised prioritizing open communication.

"We just talk more and, because, you know, work was getting in the way, sometimes, and it was like, [phew] and we would talk all the time, but communication is key," he concluded.

Amidst the news of her separation from Offset, Cardi B revealed a fresh new look as she went shopping in Los Angeles, Page Six noted.

The "WAP" singer showcased a stylish pixie haircut, donning a pair of Y/Project denim pants, boots, and a two-toned flannel shirt with cold-shoulder detail.

Cardi B completed her look with a tan Birkin bag, a birthday present from Offset in October.

Despite the lavish gifts he gave her on her birthday, including two other Birkins, their relationship took a turn for the worse soon after the celebrations.
