An SUV that was part of President Joe Biden's motorcade was plowed into by a silver sedan as the POTUS was leaving his campaign headquarters in Delaware last Sunday. The president was present during the collision, together with his wife, Dr. Jill Biden. However, both of them were reportedly unharmed in the crash.

The armored SUV was reportedly part of a US Secret Service detail that was guarding President Biden. It was parked and was being used to close off intersections near the headquarters for the president's departure when the other car plowed into it.

The vehicle, which was only described as a "silver sedan," reportedly continued into a closed-off intersection, according to the Associated Press. However, it was soon surrounded by Secret Service personnel with weapons drawn. They then instructed the driver to exit the vehicle with his hands up.

As for Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, they reportedly looked very surprised by the incident and were ushered into another vehicle before they were immediately taken back to their Delaware home in Wilmington. The crash did not affect his schedule, and it was still reportedly business as usual for him despite what could have been a possible attack on his life.

Car That Plowed Into Joe Biden's Motorcade in Delaware Was Damaged

President Bidem was seen in television footage being escorted to another car by Secret Service agents after the silver sedan with Delaware license plates crashed into the motorcade. He was reportedly having dinner with members of his re-election team when the incident occurred.

According to Reuters, the vehicle that plowed into the motorcade had its bumper damaged as it was surrounded by Secret Service personnel. It remains unclear if the driver intentionally plowed into the motorcade as the Secret Service did not immediately comment on the incident.

The driver was an African-American male and was taken away by security personnel soon after they surrounded his vehicle with weapons drawn. He was seen with his hands up as the Secret Service took him in.

Startled Joe Biden Looked On as Vehicle Rammed Into His Presidential Motorcade

The crash itself was well documented as it happened in full view of journalists covering the president's visit to his campaign headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware. Photos of what happened there were shared all over the internet as well.

According to the Daily Mail, President Biden was about to join his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, in another vehicle and was already outside when the silver sedan rammed into one of the motorcade's parked vehicles. Reporters who saw the incident said he was genuinely shocked when the crash happened.

The crash appeared to come out of the blue, and as Biden looked on in shock, Secret Service agents quickly sprang into action to protect the president and hurriedly took him to the vehicle where Jill was waiting.

Nearby reporters managed to take a picture of authorities surrounding the driver, but they were soon shuffled away.
