Lionel Messi Son, Mateo Messi, Breaks Internet After Scoring Hat Trick
It may be safe to say that Mateo Messi, son of Argentina soccer legend Lionel Messi, is a chip off the old block and that the apple did not fall far from the tree. The younger Messi scored a hat trick while playing for the junior division of his father's team, Inter Miami.
Mateo Messi is currently enrolled at the Inter Miami academy, with the eight-year-old showing that he definitely has his father's genes by scoring three goals, or a hat trick, for the junior club. The youngster also showed that he has his father's phenomenal dribbling skills, according to Marca.
The video of him being particularly similar to his superstar father in that match has gone viral, not just in the US and Latin America, but the entire world as Mateo Messi is showing sparks of his father's greatness at such a young age.
The youngster was shown surging past his opponents with phenomenal dribbling skills which he may have learned from the man that many consider the greatest to have ever played the game. It was noted that scoring goals comes naturally for the youngster, who has already scored ten goals for the Inter Miami academy's junior team. He has also showcased some eye-catching moves, though unlike his father, he strikes the ball using his right foot, not the left.
Despite only being eight, the young Messi has now earned a lot of fans and it looks like he might just follow in his iconic father's footsteps as a young up-and-coming prospect for scouts in the US, Latin America, and Europe.
