Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, has been discharged from the hospital and is now back home at the Windsor estate after a two-week stay following abdominal surgery, Kensington Palace announced on Monday, Reuters reports.

The 42-year-old wife of Prince William, the heir to the British throne, underwent surgery for a non-cancerous condition at the London Clinic. Her recovery is reportedly progressing well.

A statement from Kensington Palace expressed gratitude to the entire team at the London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care provided to the Princess.

Although the details of her surgery remain undisclosed, a royal source confirmed on January 17 that Kate Middleton's condition was non-cancerous.

The Princess is expected to take several months to recuperate, with a return to public duties unlikely until after Easter.

In the absence of the Princess of Wales, Prince William postponed his engagements to look after their three children: Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (8), and Prince Louis (5).

King Charles III Discharged After Enlarged Prostate Treatment

In a separate health development, Britain's King Charles III has been discharged from a London hospital following treatment for an enlarged prostate, per CNN.

Buckingham Palace revealed that the 75-year-old monarch, who spent three nights at the London Clinic near Regent's Park, is now undertaking private recuperation after rescheduling upcoming public engagements.

The Palace conveyed the King's appreciation for the medical team and the support he received during his hospital visit.

Queen Camilla, who visited her husband daily, was by his side as he left the hospital. The King's departure coincided with the announcement of Princess Kate Middleton's return home after her surgery.

Charles' diagnosis was disclosed after experiencing symptoms and undergoing a check-up at his Birkhall residence in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

Queen Camilla previously assured that the King was "fine" and eager to return to work during recent engagements.

Reunion at Windsor: Kate Middleton Back with Children

Kate Middleton, now back at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, has reunited with her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

"The Princess of Wales has returned home in Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery," the statement said.

The statement extended gratitude to the staff at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for their care, according to Marie Claire.

The Wales family expressed appreciation for the well wishes received from around the world.

The children, reportedly aware of Kate's condition, have been maintaining contact through FaceTime, and Prince William has been shuttling between home and the hospital.

The family, known for its close-knit bond, is navigating through this challenging time together.

A source mentioned, "The kids are aware of Kate's present condition. The whole family is taking a step back to deal with it. They are a very close-knit family, and they will get through this together."
