Tucker Carlson Gets Pranked by YouTubers Over Fake Kate Middleton Photo Editing Scandal
Tucker Carlson's propensity to follow questionable arguments and topics while not checking their authenticity has come back to bite him after several YouTubers pranked the controversial right-wing media personality by claiming they edited the controversial Kate Middleton family photo.
YouTube account Josh & Archie managed to dupe the former Fox News host by posing as a fired Kensington Palace employee who edited the British Royals' controversial family photo that has many people questioning "Where is Kate Middleton?"
The two YouTubers got Carlson to interview them interview for his streaming service the Tucker Carlson Network, with Carlson's staff clearly not going deep enough to realize that the rightwinger was being pranked.
The pair showed how they managed to pull a prank on the unsuspecting Tucker Carlson, including using a fake employment contract that they used via Photoshop to get him to bite. They also used the Princess of Wales's photo in a supposed original, unedited version.
The pair then revealed that they managed to prank Carlson in a video, and it has garnered 1.5 million views on X and 60,000 views on YouTube. They admitted to TIME Magazine that they intentionally went public with the prank before the interview could air.
"We obviously discussed it, but we thought that it would be a bit irresponsible potentially to let the actual interview publish," Pieters told the publication. "We just thought that this interview would obviously go so big on Tucker's channel that it could potentially do some harm. So we thought it was a better idea to get it up first and to show what we did."

Tucker Carlson Claimed He Verified YouTubers in Video Until It Turned Out They Were Pranking Him
The fake Kensington Palace employment documents that the two YouTubers presented included some very extreme "clauses" that would have normally raised some eyebrows, including a clause stating that the palace had a right to amputate one of his limbs should he fail his probation period. Despite this, Carlson and his staff still fell for the prank hook, line, and sinker.
Manners was sent to a London studio to conduct the interview with Carlson after presenting those fake documents. In the video that they posted, Carlson introduced Manners by ironically saying, "We've done our best to verify that your identity is what you say it is. You're not a fake [Alexei] Navalny or doing a prank."
Manners admitted that he "stroked" Carlson's ego by claiming that he was giving the former Fox News host the exclusive because "mainstream media in the UK wouldn't touch it," as reported by Deadline.
YouTubers Wanted To Know if Tucker Carlson Would Fact-Chack Their Claims; He Did Not
Normally, journalists would check if their source was credible or not and fact-check whatever claims their source made in an interview prior to airing the piece. However, Tucker Carlson did not, with the Josh & Archie YouTubers exposing his shoddy practices.
Manners noted that they wanted to see whether or not Carlson's staff would actually fact-check his claims. They did not, according to the Huffington Post.
