Peacock's new documentary film, "Stormy," which is about former adult film actress Stormy Daniels, has finally been released, and she has revealed more details about her brief sexual affair with Donald Trump in Lake Tahoe, as well as all the threats to her life that she has received.

The sexual encounter happened only once, and it was consensual, with Daniels saying it was "unpleasant." It took place during a golf pro tournament in Lake Tahoe, around the same time Melania Trump was still pregnant with their son, Baron. While it happened only once, the repercussions of that sexual encounter are still being felt today.

When she exploded into the public stage in 2018, when she came out with the scandal, she received plenty of death threats. "I was completely sure that I was gonna die," she said in the documentary.

As for why she took the $130,000 hush money payment from Donald Trump's then-attorney, Michael Cohen, Daniels stated that it was to protect her husband and daughter, and so "that there would be a paper trail and money trail linking me to Donald Trump so that he could not have me killed."

According to CNN, the hush money payment ultimately landed Cohen in federal prison for breaking campaign finance laws. However, the man whom he was working for, Donald Trump, has yet to face justice. The case is still ongoing, and the trial has been delayed, with Trump pleading "not guilty."

Stormy Daniels Documentary Tells Her Side of the Story

Donald Trump has vehemently denied that he has had sex with Stormy Daniels, saying he has never met her and that he finds her ugly. However, it was already determined in court that the encounter did happen.

As Yahoo! News pointed out, the "Stormy" documentary tells her side of the story with interviews and contemporary footage. It centers on the Trump team's attempts to keep the news of their alleged sexual encounter hidden while he ran for the White House.

In that documentary, Daniels revealed that despite being a liberal hero, she is still a registered Republican. It also showed the story of how her former lawyer, Michael Avenatti, gained her trust but, in truth, was stealing from her.

Stormy Daniels Portrayed as a Messy and Complicated Yet Courageous Woman

Erin Lee Carr produced what Rolling Stone calls a "deeply sympathetic, unfiltered, and occasionally frustrating" documentary about the former adult film star who might be the one to bring down the former president of the United States. She and director Sarah Gibson sat down with the magazine for an interview, and they revealed that they had been working on the documentary for about a year.

Gibson revealed that Daniels had not been interviewed by women much and that the Trump accuser had found familiarity with her as a single mother who went through a divorce. Meanwhile, Carr stated that Stormy has largely been misunderstood by the public as she has been "reduced to her occupation" as a porn star. Many in the public just cannot see past that and see that there are many layers to her.
